It's a lot more subtle than that. Most of what is in the news is true but the way in which things are presented is what matters, rather than the bare facts on their own. The same set of facts can be presented in many different ways. Also certain things can be omitted entirely. The goal is always the same, control of us, by them. All presented by a newsreader carefully selected to make them likeable and thus trustworthy and believable.

I suspect this was allowed to be broadcast in 1968 (the year I was born) with the bold assumption that even those who possessed the attention span to sit through this episode would find it completely absurd or just wouldn't get it. There is some deep truth-telling on the level of Fritz Springmeier's writings. Why haven't they buried this episode with the rest? Of course they have to put the truth out there, hidden in plain sight as they like to do or must. Are they taunting us now? And Donald Pleasance is a creepy dude from way back. In addition to Blofeld, her was the well-meaning but blundering psychiatrist of Michael Myers in the first Halloween (1978?), a blueprint of the ubiquitous fear porn and serial killer psy-op I grew up watching along with my clueless teenaged sitters. I don't think everything is fake . People said the Vietnam war was fake too and yet people are having horrible diseases from agent Orange. We had to go to the VA hospital and see how those guys with long hair and no legs left. My dad worked at Oak Ridge that's where he started out in Tennessee where they made the A- bomb. Then Livermore Labs not going to tell you the horrendous stories of that, but yes it is real. Ask anybody who is Born and raised by people with a high military clearance the terror stories. My whole entire spine is ruined. As for bombs being fake I can tell you there as real as can be. The 250 bombs went off that were loaded on trains headed for Vietnam. The whole township when they went off it ruined a couple of the towns buildings . That was only the 250s that went off. They were headed towards Vietnam and they went off at the train station. It woke me up I flew off my bed the neighbors are screaming and crying they thought I was an earthquake. They said if the 500' s went off the whole entire town would have been flat. So we kept feeling the 250s going off it was pretty scary . It damaged the town's quite a bit. In the late 90s they found over 300 more bombs in the ground they could have blown up and killed people. So many towns would have been leveled. Yes there is a lot of fake news unfortunately there's a lot of bad stuff that really is true.

Tuning into the news and letting them put a shine on themselves and their clothing and their modern sleek dynamic sets and graphics and information and how they articulate.. It's impressive. Maybe they're giving people something to do. Something to think about. A side to take. An enemy to fear. Grist for the mill. Mental massage. Naratives to follow. A cause. Guilt, intrigue, bad guys and good.. The universe seems to like to make up different kinds and levels and amounts and placements of awareness and have them interact. Some like to rule and others not so much. So consciousness likes to deal in silly characters and scary enemies and looking up to authorities and chasing duality around while trying to explain it efficiently on the news. I guess it's about persuasion. Whatever draws a crowd. Mind control. What mind control(s) what mind(s). And which are controllable. It's all the universe chasing tales and tails. News tries to make it worth the chase. The question is what's going to out compete the news such that it then becomes the better attention grabbers? Where does attention really want to go?

I was going to suggest the original 60s Outer Limits series. There are some gems. So many were predictive in the same way this video is. The OL series uses military and scientists themed in the stories as opposed to the concurrent Twilight Zone series.

Narrator sounds like Paul Frees. He did a ton of voiceover work and there isn't a single American born before 1990 who hasn't heard his voice. He was in the original War of the Worlds, he did voice work for tons of cartoons like Bullwinkle and Superfriends. He was even KITT's nemesis "KARR" in Knight Rider. He did voices for a whole bunch of the Christmas stop-motion animation shows of the '60s and '70s. The guy was a freaking institution.
