Laundry was much simpler in my day. What was dirty was in a bag. The bag went to the laundry, was washed with it's contents and returned still in the bag. Cleaner, perhaps.

I don't mean to be critical of you. I'm an old master chief who retired long before you enlisted (maybe ?, 1992). Much of what you offer is familiar and much is so foreign. When I was on Independence in '69, asking my mother a question would require two months to receive an answer.

My experiences in the Navy on a carrier as ship's company have been a bit more negative than positive I guess to be honest. That doesn't mean I am not grateful for what I have experienced. Being on a ship on deployment is not easy and not for everyone. You really have to be willing to be on a ship and to travel at sea and really care about your job/rate to really be fit for this branch.

Hey man been watching your series the past 24 hours. Almost just about watched all of your videos. Love the honesty and details man. I'm also considering joining the navy. Been back and forth with the military for 3 years since I graduated high school. And now it's either navy or air force. I feel like navy will definitely provide more experiences. My buddies have been in the air force since 2012 and they don't do shit. Which is good for them I guess, but I wanna go out on the ship and do shit. What would be some of the "easier" jobs to do if you can't get an officer position on the ship. My dad was in the navy an AM. Said it was hard as fuck and annoying as all hell but overall decent. I'm good with my hands, however obviously the easier the better. Usually pretty good at tests so not too worried about asvab. What do you recommend?
@jtmnavy9 жыл бұрын
Cory Richard haha awesome !! if you score good on the ASVAB , i'd say try to pick IT , IS , YN , and PS ... those would be some of the "easier" jobs, you just have to have the intelligence. Do some research on those rates, there all pretty chill
@TakaraCafe9 жыл бұрын
JTsuits those do sound pretty easy but also like a lot of desk work. But also beats working on helicopters and sweating your balls off for 8-12 hours a day. I work on cars on the side and even that is tedious enough to make somebody blow their brains out aha, let alone knowing every little piece to know about a helicopter or plane. I'm definitely gonna do some more investigating on the jobs I'd wanna push to get. But I'm already starting to study the asvab. Just gotta take those beginning steps I guess. Thanks for the info man. Looking forward to your next videos. !
@TakaraCafe9 жыл бұрын
JTsuits also. I see a lot of videos of people on the ship on their phones and WiFi. How often is that actually allowed and what can you tell me about that? I feel like it'd be a hell of a lot easier to keep in contact with your family and friends while on the ship and overseas nowadays. What's the regulations on that kinda stuff?

if you lived with your mom, lack an education, or work minimum wage jobs the Navy is perfect for you. if you are educated (bachelors or more), older, and or have had a good job with benefits and lived on your own, rethink your decision. it's not like a regular job. There are certain socioeconomic levels, and personality types that join the military. think very carefully before you join. it's not for everybody.

Girl how did you come up with that logic? Most people who join the military come from middle class families. Being a officer or enlisted is two different things. A lot of factors determine what kind of life your going to have in the military.
@lmcneillify7 жыл бұрын
however, on both infidelity is a given with the long deployments. so again if you are ok with going 9 months without seeing family, please join. if you actually want to be an active parent, seek good employment as a civilian with benefits.
