Reseal and repair of the JTS Airacuda Max. Its just a hastily done video to get something for the owners to have a guide. I will make another video that will be more detailed . And videos for the Standard Airacuda.

To all the subscribers, I thank you for the kind words. I apologize for not making any videos for a while. We had something come up in the family and the area I used to make videos was no longer available. More videos about airguns will be coming soon. Not only new airguns, but videos about vintage airguns as well. Again, I want to thank everyone for their patience. Ian.

Even a dummy like me could work on it. Can you put out a video on how to remove the barrel. Thank you Bravo for the video. Its nice to see a simple design and efficient gun. Thank you Travis

no, the 25 caliber one was reset to where it was from when i got it, since i did disassemble the reg, I had to take measurements of anything i disassembled so i could put it back to where it was. (hammer spring depth, valve spring depth, and regulator height above the reg body.)

Do you use the jts pellets that they make for your gun ,,,,I just purchased the gun and it's not broken in yet ,,,but was wondering what was your pellet of choice ,,,factory settings
@45bravoairguns47 ай бұрын
It’s a tossup, the accuracy difference between the JTS 18.1 pellets and the JSB 18.13 pellets is negligible. The JTS pellets have a slightly larger head size and seat tight in the chamber. Try both, or choose which shoots best, or if price is a concern, go with the least expensive option. Here is a link to an article I wrote for Pyramyd AIR comparing the pellets in a standard Airacuda, and a Daystate. www.pyramydair.com/blog/2023/02/testing-jts-dead-center-22-caliber-18-1gr-pellets/ Ian

There is a complete oring list and a parts breakdown on the JTS website in the manuals section. But here is a direct link. It is below the manual in the same file. static1.squarespace.com/static/621fcd748d0911333b1ef4cf/t/637543a0408d067f7400e5bc/1668629409016/MANUAL%2BJTS%2BAiracuda%2BMax%2BPCP%2BAir%2BRifle%2B24MAR22%2BPRINT-merged.pdf

Hey I have a jts I just bought and I was wondering if it's a trick on putting air in it cause I tried hand pumps and compressors and the guage is not moving at all
@45bravoairguns4 Жыл бұрын
I have a couple of questions or statements that may help point you in the right direction. Please don’t be offended by them, as I don’t know how well versed you are in airguns. First, cock the gun, put it on safe, that takes the hammer and it’s spring presssure off of the valve stem possibly keeping it from closing completely and taking air. Now, are you using a hand pump or compressor designed to give over 3000 psi air? Or a shop compressor used to power air tools? A regular shop compressor only puts out about 150psi, nowhere near enough to register on the air gauges. Some times it takes a “shot” of air from a tank to put enough pressure into the air cylinder to seal the valve completely. But I have not heard of anyone having that issue with a JTS yet, but there is a first time for everything. Once you have it filled to the 3000 psi air, you want to stop shooting somewhere about 1200 - 2000 psi or so, depending on the gun, or caliber. Never shoot it completely empty. The .Standard Airacuda is un regulated, and can be shot down to the 1200-1500 psi range before needing to be filled. The Airacuda Max is regulated, and the regulators are set at about 1800-1900psi in .22 and 2000 psi in .25. Shooting them below those pressures means you “fell off the regulator” meaning above that pressure, the gun was being metered a certain pressure, and once the gun falls below that pressure, the pellet speeds will fluctuate a lot more as the air pressure pushing the pellet will continuously drop with every shot. I hope this points you in the right direction, please keep us posted..

Personally I use the oring store online, but the manufacturer really dies not matter. but I do prefer 90durometer orings, as they are a harder material than the more common 70 durometer orings.

AT 1:56 , I thought you stated " I have a leak " ?? New model released recently.
@45bravoairguns4 Жыл бұрын
This is a pre production model made over a year ago, it has been extensively tested and used, Many of the pre production guns were sent out to testers to torture and review them, and give feedback to the importer. So when the production gun were shipped, many of the problems that happen with Gen 1 guns had already been addressed. We were the Guinea pigs so you would get a better gun the first time..

Thanks for the clarification. Looking at this as my first PCP. I think most people that saw this video were nervous, but now I understand.
@45bravoairguns4 Жыл бұрын
No problem, for the money spent, they are the Best Buy on the block at this time. The importer stands behind the product, there is a Facebook group about these rifles where owners share their experiences. Parts and service for the guns are being handled by Travis Whitney here in the United States

@45bravoairguns4 Жыл бұрын
I am happy enough with the gun I own 3 of them, a standard in .22, a Max in .25, and a second Max in .22. For the money spent, in my opinion, it is the best deal on the market at this time. here is an article comparing the unregulated Airacuda against a Daystate Wolverine, using JTS pellets. You have to ask yourself, is the price difference worth the accuracy difference? www.pyramydair.com/blog/2023/02/testing-jts-dead-center-22-caliber-18-1gr-pellets/
@45bravoairguns4 Жыл бұрын
as for the leaks, every airgun will eventually leak, you have 3000 psi being held by a piece of cheap rubber that is smaller than a pencil lead in diameter. luckily, this airgun has only a few orings compared to an FX.

Was this because it broke or just a video to show how to perform the task?

This was done just so new owners will have a reference of how to do the repairs. The guns have hit port, and I think New England airgun has them in stock and ready to ship.

Does anyone have a parts diagram/breakdown for the .30 calibre Airacuda Max? The manuals for the .22 and .25 include the diagrams. The .30 does not. The critical o=rings in the breech area and barrel base are different between calibres and even with a micrometre getting the size right will be 80% educated guess and 20% measured value.
@45bravoairguns422 күн бұрын
I translated the diagrams for the .22 & .25 caliber prototypes and measured the sizes needed for the orings. Since the platform was proven in those 2 calibers the .177 and .30 calibers went straight to production, bypassing the prototype stage. I don’t have a .30 caliber as yet from JTS. if I did I would happily do it again. I still say almost 2 years later, the value and accuracy you get for the money spent is hard to beat. Ian.

@@45bravoairguns4 I agree with your assessment of the product. I will measure the o-rings carefully and get back on this thread with the results I get
@45bravoairguns421 күн бұрын
@@kimmer127 cool, please use a digital/dial caliper. Measure the inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness of the oring. Most orings are sold by inside diameter, and thickness of the oring. Also they tend to be in whole and half sizes. Very rarely will you find a .25 or a .75 size oring on an airgun. I have found using 90durometer orings while harder to install work really well. Ian
@kimmer12721 күн бұрын
@@45bravoairguns4 Yep I have a good micrometer like yours. I got the rifle broken down and started to document all the o-rings. The actual problem with my rifles is not o-ring related as it turns out. When I disassembled the valve it turned out that the plastic valve core identified as part 27 on the .22/.25 parts diagram is broken. I will continue inventorying all the o-rings and post the sizes here when I finish it. I plan to order BunaN 90 based on what you advised. Some folks seem to go with the softer N70 but you know what you're talking about so that is what we will do.
