This song is my favorite by Juan Gabriel the meaning behind it a song to his mother who abandoned him as a child and him growing up wanting to just meet his mother and ask her why she left him in a foster home searching for her and when he finally finds her he comes to realize that she just didn’t want anything to do with him she says cause she had to look out for the rest of his siblings but many believe it was cause since a young age you could tell he was different all that time spending looking for her to realize it was a mistake as the song says now I live my life hurt sad with Pain I should have never met you because you were so bad to me that just hits you rite in the heart when he says it was a night like this one the day I found you man this guy was a legend R.I.P

Hello girls, Juan Gabriel was a great composer but also a great performer and each of his songs has what it takes to stay in the minds of those who listen to him. He is very musical, and his lyrics are clear, lively and perhaps somewhat his own experiences. “La Muerte del Palomo” that he wrote at the age of 13 is a very, very sad song and it is incredible how such a young boy can put such strong feelings on paper. Juan Gabriel is unforgettable!!!

When he says "eso me enseño mama" hes talking about the nun who really raised him in orphanage, who he loved as if real mother. He met real mother when grown, but she reject him because gay. He gets rich famous, singing while in prison. Somebody, music producer finds out about talent and gets him free and performing. Rest is history.
