Sheldon Creed signed with JGR and left RCR. He did not get the boot from RCR. It was Creed who left RCR on his own accord, to take his family money to JGR. So why would anyone say Creed got the boot, when it was indeed Creed who was doing the booting. it is like Kurt Busch being 'fired' from Roush Racing. When Ku Busch already had a contract signed with Penske to race there the following year, before he was stood down for the final race of the season at Roush. As much as Montoya had won the Indy 500 before he went to Formula One and won at Monaco and other F1 races, before coming to NASCAR. Yet some compare Montoya as if he came to NASCAR as an inexperienced driver on Ovals. (after he had won at Indy long before NASCAR was even an option)

David Land said it best, its more likely that Andretti would switch to Chevy in Indycar, they’ll be with Cadillac in IMSA, hopefully will be with them in F1, and are already tied to Chevy with Spire. Honda’s foggy future with Indy could push Andretti to switch anyway. Plus it’s a huge “IF” to say Honda is going to actually join NASCAR especially because they’ve already told NASCAR they won’t join unless NASCAR changes engine rules.

Here’s my take on Creed. Is he good? Yes. Is he able to be around at the end? Yes. He’s got a ton of speed some weeks and the others he’s just bad. Not to mention the multiple occasions this year where he turned into a meathead with 5 to go and took an at least top 2 into a 10. Remember the JHN incident that creed said was Nemecheks fault? I used to like Creed, but this year in particular and made me start to think “Maybe Creed played a roll in why RCR treated him so bad.” He’s got a lot of talent I feel, but is an idiot when it comes to the end. I understand being aggressive at the end, but there’s a difference between aggressiveness and stupidity, Creed doesn’t know where that line is

Honda won't be part of an Andretti deal. They're strengthening their GM ties in all categories; their F1 engine is a Cadillac, they're probably going to be the replacement for Ganassi in the Cadillac LMDh program, and they're considering switching to Chevy in Indycar.
@nascarnational2 ай бұрын
um.. you should've watched david land's video from yesterday about the issue. he says that there are rumors in the indycar paddock about andretti leaving honda due to strengthening ties with gm. this is linked to an imsa rumor that andretti will partner with cadillac in imsa next season, and of course the already DEEP relationship cadillac & andretti global have in f1 that you can mull over on youtube for hours on end. i think the honda suggestion is dumb, it's just an unnecessary tying the knot thing imo. if andretti commits to nascar they'll do it with gm, through & through, no questions asked. - *also, if liberty media & f1 corporate actually do budge to andretti somehow whilst they join nascar, they'll have teams in: -formula 1 -indycar -nascar -imsa -wec (if they do le mans i believe) -formula e -v8 supercars the only other team i can think of with that kind of influence in motorsport is penske. getting into f1 & nascar will be ENORMOUS for everyone, if the team pulls it off
