one trick for panel lining all the armor bits is to mix a shade with contrast medium. Im not sure why but when you mix a shade like agrax or nuln oil with the contrast medium I swear it only sticks to the small cracks and panel lines. Its like using an enamel panel liner but with standard GW paints instead haha. (an enamel panel liner is also a great way of doing the lines of course, since if you spill you can always just wipe it away with some enamel thinner that wont hurt the acrylic below.)

Thanks for yet another great video! A technical question if I may: when working with Contrasts, do you mix and thin them on a wet palette or do you use dry palette? If the latter is true, how do you prevent them from getting increasingly thicker due to gradually drying out?
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
I've done both, for the dry palette I just use the ammout I need, simple as that and add more as I go through it. I know use them over the wet palette without issue as I never go back to them after they have sit down on it for a while, which can cause issues

@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures can you try to Tau with deadpool colour scheme? I just saw a new paint from army painter called Speed Paint that is similar to contrast, I’m just curious which one I should buy for Tau. I’m new to painting and I just think contrast looks a lot more simpler, but I haven’t found a guide on Farsight version.
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures3 жыл бұрын
To be honest I don't know how the new paints are because I haven't tried them yet. In all fairness they look VERY similar including the colour selection so getting whatever brand is available to you would be the best idea. Watch the Eavy contrast - Word Bearers video as they have a dark red armour and that would be helpful for you to use in the Farsight army.

Came for the great tutorial, stayed for the memes. Always get a chuckle out of your stuff, my friend. You think about adding some dinge and grime on the armor? Hi, painting tau is usually not fun for you but I am very happy that you did it. I like the armor very much and you get the maximum out of the color white. The shadow gradient is great.
