Hi, Nice song. I'm a Dutchman who has lived in Norway for 42 years. I'm well educated in both Dutch and Norwegian language. Just a few days ago I started to listen to this afrikaans language. And I understood approximately 50 % of it. This african language originally is the Dutch language spoken in the Netherlands 17th century in the Dutch provinces Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland and Zeeland. I must say this language is for me very charming to listen to. Now I have been listening to a lot of these African old Dutch language songs a few days now, and I understand most of it now. I like it.
