Lovely video with the sights and sounds of a favourite city and its dear old queen. You caught quite a few of the sights and Iwan did the rest so I didn’t miss out much of what my sister and family and others ( sister in law and her whole family of ten ) must have enjoyed in the UK!

Another great Vlog. I love seeing London and it was a lovely day for a picnic in the park with Zara & Maggie. We followed the Jubilee Celebrations from afar but got to see quite a bit here in Aus. It was just brilliant and I would have loved to have been there to be part of History and enjoy the Vibe of the celebrations. No one does Pomp & pageantry like the British and we were not let down..

Lovely vlog Luke; thank you for sharing some of the jubilee with us. My mother was born in London a year before the queen, so I always think of my mom when I think of the queen. My mother married my father (a Canadian soldier on loan to the British army during WW11) after the war and immigrated to Canada where I was born. My father was posted to the Canadian Embassy in London in the 60’s for four years and my mother took my brother and me to all the sites in London (Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral, etc.) and talked to us about the queen and the Royal Family so I have a real fondness for the queen and admire her for everything she has done for the U.K. and the Commonwealth. My thoughts are that no matter what your position is regarding the monarchy, she deserves everyone’s respect. And finally, my husband and I were out for dinner last week (we live in Calgary, Canada) and I noticed the restaurant offered Sipsmith gin, I thought of you and ordered a cheeky Sipsmith gin and tonic, it was lovely; one of the best G&T’s I’ve had.

Hello Luke. I loved seeing this London vlog, all the prep for the Queens Jubilee. A monumentous moment in her life. I also wish to say thank you for the past Christmas vlogs, which brought back so many happy memories of London,, the lights, Selfridges and Harrods window displays, seeing Carnaby St and well the entire area you covered. I'm Kate McCabe's Auntie in Australia. Going back to this vid, and your splendid picnic in Richmond with Zara and Maggie, this was so very poingant for me as you were so very close to Petersham where Kate spend a great deal of her childhood , a marvellous time. It was my birthday during the jubilee celebrations, it was lovely to see all the street parties made my birthday feel extra special, I went to Stratford upon Avon on the Friday, had afternoon tea and cocktails whilst there, had a get together with friends and family on the Sunday for my actual birthday, which I thoroughly enjoyed 😉

Hi Luke, little tip my Mum used with her rubber plant many years ago (sadly she is no longer with us) She would wash the leaves with milk. Her rubber plant was huge, about 6ft tall, and was growing round the sitting room ceiling. She eventually sold it to a Hotel in London.

Lovely vlog as usual. My friend and I came down to London on Thursday, the flyover was so exciting but London was beyond heaving every park was so full for our picnic , you chose a much better place. We did go on the Elizabeth Line after your vlog about it and it was amazing. Love Maggie and the watermelon.

What a great vlog! How cool was that SipSmith place?? Always lovely to see Ewan on your channel! Fortum and Masons look swish and interesting with their products! I’m glad you got to see part of the RAF flying. I always find it a buzz! That picnic looked yummy, as did your Swiss roll, I actually thought the meringue idea was rather good even if it wasn’t meant to happen- it could be a signature dessert! :) have a great week! Edited to add that I prefer the lighter colour for the living room, I think darker colours will make it look smaller.

Hi Luke! I've been away on holiday for a bit & just catching up to your videos now. Personally I like the colors in your living room now with the feature wall, but if you were to change it I think the linen color would look nice in a lighter shade so the room doesn't feel so dark. Fab vlog. I had a quiet Jubilee at home and watched it on TV. I made my own trifle too but couldnt find a minature of sherry so used raspberry vodka instead which is delicious and I macerated the fresh raspberries in it. I thought the Jubilee was great and seeing our glorious Queen with Paddington was brilliant.

I think I prefer your Jubilee Eton Mess Swiss Roll to the official winner (which looked a bit messy with all the spiky bits on top) so well done Luke. You had a great weekend of celebrations so thank you for your videos. I love the art deco (?) glass panels in your flat, have you picked a colour yet? Maybe a tone between the lighter Cargo shade and the darker shade, to give enough contrast with the sofa, but not too dark to be overpowering? But then, it's you who will be living there not me!

I do love your vlogs! Always interesting chat along with some wonderful scenery. :) Re the colors for the lounge: I'd put those samples next to the fireplace to see how they work with the colors there. Unless you are planning on painting the mantle you will want to be sure the wall color works with the hearth colors. The samples appear to be cool colors (blue base) while the fireplace looks to be warm colors (yellow base). The feature wall green looks to be more of a yellow base which is why they work together. The food looks wonderful! I've watched during breakfast and you've made me even hungrier! :)

May I suggest an alternative hue, a denim-y cool blue instead of a green tone? The warm wood and grey sofa would coordinate nicely and a lighter shade would allow the light to make your space feel larger. Cheers! from Toronto

Lovely volg of the Jubilee weekend 👍. The cocktails looked lovely as did the bar.. But was that the prices next to it? 15 GBP for each cocktail? If it is, that is a total rip off.. I have paid less in other major cities around the world including Paris, Vancouver, Sydney etc. A Victory Sponge is also traditional.. I made one for the jubilee and used fresh vanilla cream and fresh strawberries. It was delicious. Luke (this is not a criticism but..) changing up the wall paint colour 3x in 5 yrs only happens with you tubers (who need content and have to with eg paint/wallpaper sponsorships) .. Usual is to freshen up paint every 5+ years.. Because it costs time and money and is not good for the walls. You are lucky your landlord allows you to do it.. Because walls can only take so many coats of paint before you have to strip it back to plaster/base paper and start again. Zaras sunglasses and lip stick😎💋👌.
