Hey Everyone! Thank you for giving Spectrum a lot of love. This episode in particular was highly requested & we are excited to bring it to you. We are aware that this show & these 6 individuals don’t represent the whole Muslim community, but we hope this episode sparks dialogue amongst the good human fam. Our team is working on ways to include you (yes, you!) in the prompt building process for Spectrum episodes, so stay connected with us on instagram.com/jubileemedia. @oykukarakus82074 жыл бұрын
@@Elijah666 I agree, Western media projects Islam and some parts of the world with Muslims as the majority of the population so differently to validate their political aims that some people think "Muslims from other countries are not as tolerant". I mean faith is about the person and their interpretation of the book as well as their experiences and relationship with God. It is not about any country. People seen on media are usually extremists and radicalized which does not, in any way, represent any population. There are a lot of Muslims in Europe and Asia but we always HAVE to think of the Middle East when speaking of Islam. This is a channel that casts speakers of English. Why don't we name other videos as "Do All American Feminists Think the Same" or "Do All American Atheists Think the Same" but this one? (I don't mean to aggravate but to form a conversation)

Which is completely fine. Being able to listen to someone like him patiently and answering to them in the right tone and mindset, won’t only help him understand and pursue more about the religion. But it will also help u know if you’re weaker in any aspect of the religion. If you need to research more about certain things u didn’t know existed. It’s also a way of self development. Will also, eventually, help u know more about the religion. I’m speaking from the perspective of a devoted Muslim. That’s how we need to be. I was extremely disappointed at the way the women in this video didn’t let the man speak his point of view about women being viewed equally in Islam. He was pointing out that he felt conflict between his perception of what was in the Koran versus the belief in his heart and the women totally tore him down. This was an opportunity to learn and hear a different perspective and I’m so saddened we never even got to hear it because of the way the women ganged up on him ... and yes, this is a woman who is writing this.

I have so much respect for the white shirt guy, for having the courage to acknowledge the other side of every argument. This channel is about creating a civil discourse on differing opinions and I don't like the people on this show who talk over everyone and think they're always right. The show is called spectrum.

I am a proud Muslim myself. And what yes the guy in the white has an opinion but the women in purple is just telling him what is right and wrong. And you shouldn’t be hating on her and being disrespectful towards her for correcting him! I personally don’t read the Quran as much as I wish and hope I would but many of my Islamic elders and teachers have guided me and I basically live on what the Quran says. As a Muslim we must be there to correct and guide our brothers and sisters and TEACH them what god has sent down to us! And the guy in the white shirt HAD his say and as u saw a lot of them agreed with him but again she just wanted to make sure he understood what he was saying and to correct him! Now stop hating and being disrespectful to someone who you wouldn’t understand. xoxo

EDIT: Woah, thanks for the like and replies. I hope I didn't offend anyone and if so I'm sorry. This video just reminds of some debates I have had in the past and how some people (not all) would rather turn away than to speak about certain matters. Have a nice day.
