SPOILER ALERT Like seriously when you remember that they're all dead and stuck in an infinite time loop and also most of the characters are depressed in some way. Even Momo, because she hates being a freaking idol. Y'know. Normal stuff.

Kisaragi Attention, I believe, is one of the only songs that doesn't mention Momo's haze. So, it technically is much more happier than it would be as a typical Kagerou Project song. The only depressing parts are when Momo starts crying from stress.

Ballroom Kid Outer Science is a happy song because Kuroha gets to kill them all(except Mary and Seto) and psychologically torture the Medusa into resetting an endless loop of misery and pain. That's why it's my favorite.

I see people asking what the story of the song is all too often, so heres some copy pasta from a previous comment I posted in reply to someone. Wall of text incoming First off watching the prequels helps (Ayano's Theory of Happiness and Toumei Answer) And the song won't be explained in neither the Anime or Mang (or the light novel at that) as they all take place in a different timeline. As seen at the beginning Ayano and Shintaro (The female and male respectively) get into some sort of argument. Eventually leading to Ayano killing her self and putting herself in the 'haze' where she dies as she didn't go in with a partner (This is how the 'eye ability's' get given. 2 years pass, Shintaro gets addicted to the internet etc. and becomes a NEET/Shut-in as he is afraid of forgetting Ayano and moving on. From here it's a whole split timeline again between Shintaro with a red jersey jacket (from 1:15 to 2:00) This timeline of Shintaro is finally able to move on after him and his sister (Momo) join the Mekakushi Dan, this is known as route 1. (This is shown in the lyrics '18 yrs a boy no longer' saying he has grown up and is ready to move on) from 2:00 on is the other time line known as Route XX. This features Shintaro with a black pullover and dark pants. This route he never moves on and wishes to stay a NEET but ene (the girl in the screen) invades his life and he has no choice but to accept her. (She is a computer program at his point in the story, explaining the 'things like you wouldn't ever get me') the lyrics here explain a lot 'Keep up the pace I had yesterday 'cuz/I don't want your heat to ever leave like in my sleep/If I can't dream, you and me... that I'll see...and we will be so.../Rather hold the past than to let go/Never wake or I'll break from the shaking/' Showing that he hasn't moved on and he is not willing to. Now what happens to Ene there I honestly can't say, he mighta killed her somehow (despite immortality being her Eye ability) or destroyed the device she was in at the time. Who knows I can't say much about it, but basically at this point Route XX wants to kill him self, thus the scissors. This is where the 2 timelines come together, one where Route one stops Konoha from killing himself and the other where Shintaro kills himself. (After watching the scene from 3:25 to 3:30 about a few times it appears he may have been shot, I am unsure about this and can't confirm it though, but something bad happened to Shintaro) at this point the routes meet, both with a dead shintaro (I thought about it a sec, he definitely died in that previous scene, though I believe its a near death experience as Shintaro definitely survives) and he is now in the haze with Ayano. The deal with the haze is 2 go in, 1 comes out with eye powers. In this scene you see both Shintaros approach Ayano in different ways, black pullover begging her not to leave, and red jacket accepting her death and continuing on, he gets her scarf and the eye power and escapes the haze while black pullover Shintaro dies for good. You see he's got the eye power by the red eyes by the way. Anyway Route 1 Shintaro lives, everyone is happy until something like Outer Science happens (hue). This is just my understanding from the song though, pure theorys here as noone can really understand this story as its just an absolute mindfuck, hopefully this was somewhat informative though.

I'll go and spoiler to an unknown degree (I don't know how bad the spoilers are and idc) retaining eyes is sorta retained through time loops as well, and it kind of means shin carries a piece of an Ayano from a different timeline with him, and that there are multiple ayanos after the first loop. that's how it changes the timeline, by showing shintaro the past mistakes, if I'm recalling correctly.

English or Japanese, this song always gets me worked up. The meaning behind it can almost always makes me depressed, and sometimes I feel like crying. But at the same time, theres another end that just wants you to be happy, which I find really ingenious. Sometimes I listen/watch it and feel sad, then the next time I'm happy. Plus, It never gets old to me, I can always come back and feel either two feeling-which, only this song can do to me. The way you sing it in both regular and this version, it just doesn't disappoint. This song is helping me deal with the death of someone I look up to (TECHNOBLADE). It shows me that if I just continue to grieve forever, I'll just be stuck in these same days.
