You're right, I had to Google to see for myself. When it comes to The Originators a claim was made by two bars in Minnesota Matt's Bar vs. 5-8 Club Tavern & Grill. Honestly, I wonder if the same customer that requested the burger be made a certain way if he didn't frequent or she didn't frequent both establishments. Cuz maybe they did both come up with it in order to please the same customer.

Born in and have always lived in Minnesota, am 40, and for some odd reason I've never had one. It's on my list, though! 😋 Though I think I actually had some version, it just wasn't named Jucy Lucy. It's such a simple style and many places have replicated it with various ingredients, giving them their own names 🤔

The trick to jucy Lucy is to use egg so the pinch doesn't have to be as tight. The egg will hold it together even if you decided to Frye it. Just a trick man!
