On my side on the contrary, sadly it is more of a disappointment. Not that I blame Rob... Man... he is old, he should not sing that specific song. For me all the chills comes from these constant alternates between lows and highs in the original album version. The first time I listened to the introduction of this song, heard this very soft low end voice, for half a verse, and then pop out his huge crystal high pitch voice in the other half of the verse. I was kinda wooooo... I think it was the first time I could hear an angel sing in a metal band. I do not dare to take a a look at how he would sing painkiller nowadays, it would break my dreams. Damn, aging is rough, on me included ^^

His intro vocals are amazing, spine chilling. He can’t hit the notes he did when they recorded this in ‘87-88, so he instead goes into his lower arsenal and man, what a performance. Proves again why he’s the Metal God.

Honestly he gets pretty damn close to the same highs as in the recorded version. I think the notes here are F5 (at least E5) and the ones in the studio are G5 or maybe A5 at the highest. So basically the same. He’s one of the best singers ever.

It’s insane it took them this long to play this song live. Easily one of their best songs ever.

My favorite Judas' song. Too epic, smells of 20th century... heavy, groove, hook, dramatic. I really love that song.

Lets not forget who lays the foundation for the front runners, Scott is stellar, also is very balanced/consistent, extraordinary double bass drummer. Opened many doors when scott was chosen, within there capabilitys being much more variety.

Ritchie really plays these songs great. Adds his own flair to them which in my opinion adds a new dimension to them. its like hearing them for the first time all over again! Rob still has it for sure. Glenn is undoubtably one of the best guitarists ever. Glenn and KK were such a great complement to each other. Have been a fan since the early 80's and will remain a Priest fan forever!

Ritchie is unbelievably talented. I've really come to appreciate him watching/listening to his lockfown videos. Rob is doing what few could do, and I respect that immensely, but if anyone else covered this song and sounded like this, fans would rip the performance to shreds.

I knew Richie before he was famous, not only was he an extremely talented musician but he worked hard to get where he is now, non stop. Also, to top it all off, he really is a genuinely nice guy and deserves the success he has. I was so happy for him when he did the Lauren Harris thing and this too, a perfect example of good guy's not finishing last.
