Priest were very much this look since I first saw at a pub in Rotherham, UK '73/'74. This WAS the look upto the Stained Class album and including the Unleashed tour.They first wore the leather and studs for the Killing Machine album taking it to the States where they supported the likes of Kiss, ReoWIMPwagon (oh dear!) and Blue Oyster Cult. They first wore it live in the UK on the British Steel UK tour and metal hasn't looked back since. Just TWO days before Sheff Arena, GREAT!!

Five stars and goes to my favorites. I spend a couple of days seeking this version, the best version of Diamonds and rust, better than the studio version and others concerts. Betther than Joan Baez (really original) version. Simply the best. Amazing voice performance, guitars, bass, battery. Judas Priest shine in this song. Excellent!!!!!

@detroitdemon I love that song!!! "Stanied Class" is probably my second favorite Priest album after "Unleashed in the East". A close third would be "Hell Bent for Leather" or "Sin After Sin". They kinda lost my personal tastes after "Screaming For A Vengeance". However, I do have a DVD boot of Priest in Germany in '83 that kicks ass. I'm more of the old-school metal. Thanks for the info!

This is taken off of the BEST live Priest album of them all, "Unleashed in The East", which was recorded in Japan and released in 1979. This song and 'The Green Manalishi"(Fleetwood Mac) are the only covers that I can think of that Judas Priest has done offhand that Judas Priest has done. Joan Baez suprisingly wrote this song!!!

Thanx for making this, it is better to see this nice old video images of Priest with overdubbed not so in sync sound then with no sound at all. If you don't like it make a better one or shut up!

@MetalxGoDsx3 Hate to break your heart, but this whole album (Unleashed In The East) was retouched in the studio after the fact. Worked with a fellow that was a roadie for Priest for years, and he told me that they were not happy with what ended up on the tapes, so they re-did most of the tracks in a studio. So "Unleashed In The East" is not a true live performance. And I am a big fan of the group, so I feel your pain!

Really? I saw them way back in '82 and I thought his voice had deteriorated significantly even THEN (the version of Diamonds and Rust from that tour here on KZbin kind of supports my impressions back then).
@standby4excita15 жыл бұрын
Sabbath got close, but if you look back, priest was first for twin lead guitars and their songs were just much heavier and more aggresive than anything that had been seen before them

i give you an A for effort. I was looking for a good live cover, but priests had the terrible habit of speeding up all their songs live. works good on some of their more straight up metal songs, but sounds terrible on some of their earlier stuff that need to breath a bit.
