Lyrics
I'd spend my days alone
I used to stay at home
Lost in seclusion there
Like I was in a cell
A captured heart as well
Surrounded by despair
Darkness filled my soul
Losing all control
Down on the streets below
Bright city lights would glow
The energy would rise
And through the heat I'd gaze
Still counting empty days
With fire in my eyes
Living through this hell
Can I break this spell
Fever. You set my soul on fire
Fever. You fill me with desire
Fever. You always get it right
Fever. All day and all night
Then one night as I walked
I heard your body talk
I saw a shooting star In some magnetic trance
Our beating hearts would dance
And crash down from afar
Oh how strange fate is
Never dreamed of this
Fever. You set my soul on fire
Fever. You fill me with desire
Fever. You always get it right
Fever. All day and all night
So destiny has bought us
Oh so close together
We were like angels in the night
Living the dream
At last I'll be with you forever
And all at once it feels so right
Fever. You set my soul on fire
Fever. You fill me with desire
Fever. You always get it right
Fever. All day and all night

I would like to mention that back when my parents split up back in 1982 I was really lost with out my father, as for my mother is the one who took me from him, I taken to upstate NY, & brought in to a life that just led me to a deep dark place, I didn't know how to live, I tried running away, ended up in huge fights, & hoped one day I'd be back with my father, then I was introduced to the Mighty JUDAS PRIEST! THIS WAS MY first bought album & at the time this helped me hugely! I spent my days alone, but gained strength by the strong lyrics & AWESOME melodies of the high powered riffs that got me through some tough times, & now today this album is still as strong & going to get me throughout the dark due to my father passed away last Sunday, I praise these METAL GODS FOR ALWAYS GETTING ME THROUGH THE DARK, THANK YOU JUDAS PRIEST!! & FOR THESE GUYS GETTING RIPPED OFF AGAIN FOR THE ROCK N' ROLL HALL OF FAME IS TOTAL BULL SHIT!!! JUDAS PRIEST TO THE GRAVE!!!!

In the early 80's many of us went through the same thing. Divorce in the early 80's was rampant, seems like everybody was getting divorced. And like you too, my music got me through it: Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Dio, Motorhead, Scorpions, WASP, and Krokus. When I was in the sixth grade (early 80's) almost every kids parents at my school got divorced that year. Everybody was quiet and kind of depressed and felt kind of abandoned by our parents; my friends and our love of metal was all we had to live for.

While Abba was in their prime and John Travolta was in Staying Alive, Judas Priest made this song. Almost hard to believe.

Cannot fathom that Vengeance is approaching it's 40th year in circulation and still sounds as if it came off the presses last week!! Long live heavy metal and may it return with a thunderbolt from hell!!
