This song is pure gold. The thunder effect at the start, the riffs, Rob's vocal delivery and the atmosphere it creates just nails it.

Gianluca Podda, that’s an interesting take, since this song is pure molten metal madness in my opinion! I love Heavy Metal though, as much now as I did 40 years ago, and this song and this entire album is just pure genius.

How cool would it be if they made a movie with all the creatures and characters from the Judas Priest mythology?: The Electric Eye, the Sentinel, the Jawbreaker, the Painkiller, the Night Crawler... All together in an animated anthology, just like in Heavy Metal movie (1981).

As someone who is much more familiar with the heavier genres of metal and not too familiar with the popular OG heavy metal and Thrash/speed metal bands. I'm trying to get more into those bands and this is the first Judas Priest album I decided to try out, and it's fucking awesome! On the other hand the first Metallica album I heard was Master of Puppets.. And it is good but honestly it didn't hook me as much as I wanted it to, but their first Kill 'em All album was better I thought.

It's funny. I grew up as a kid in the 80's with comics as my biggest obsession; X-Men were my favorite. Then I discovered metal right before this album came out. Loved every second of the album from the start of course, and I always associated this song with Kurt Wagner because of my love for the X-Men.

This song is one of their best. It is just put together so well. It builds... goes to a break and comes back even stronger. The individual musicianship is just amazing. The guitar throughout and the drums are just mesmerizing and to top it all off the range of Rob Halford's voice pulls it all together. When they say a song is "a banger" this is what they are talking about.

Makes sense considering it depicts the lyrics of "Painkiller" which is arguably the most singular and pure concentration of heavy metal in sound form. Like to the point I can't think of a song in a different genre to accurately compare it to. Also, disagree. You'd probably see a picture of like, lead or something. Lol/j
