As someone who is much more familiar with the heavier genres of metal and not too familiar with the popular OG heavy metal and Thrash/speed metal bands. I'm trying to get more into those bands and this is the first Judas Priest album I decided to try out, and it's fucking awesome! On the other hand the first Metallica album I heard was Master of Puppets.. And it is good but honestly it didn't hook me as much as I wanted it to, but their first Kill 'em All album was better I thought.

It's funny. I grew up as a kid in the 80's with comics as my biggest obsession; X-Men were my favorite. Then I discovered metal right before this album came out.
