Great sermon, Pastor Missler! Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) - “For by GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God; NOT of WORKS, lest any man should boast.” (GRACE means UNMERITED FREE GIFT. NO human effort or works can be involved in receiving or keeping salvation; there is Nothing a person can do to qualify for or earn any part of salvation.) Romans 11:6 (KJV), “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace....” (Trusting on ANY human effort or works means that person is not under grace, but is attempting to qualify for salvation by the law/commandment keeping/human effort, and is therefore NOT saved). Please be aware, salvation can only be received as an Unmerited FREE GIFT Trusting ONLY on the death (includes the shedding of Jesus' blood), burial, and resurrection of Jesus, God the Son who came as God in flesh, for salvation, with NO faith on any human effort and/or works for receiving and/or keeping salvation. When a person believes the good news, gospel of salvation, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV), ONCE, God Immediately makes the believer born-again (permanently spiritually sinless in God’s eyes regarding standing and salvation). Water Baptism cannot be part of HOW a person is saved / born-again. 1 Corinthians 1:17 (KJV) - “For Christ sent me NOT to BAPTIZE, but to preach the gospel; not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of NO EFFECT.” OUR BEST RIGHTEOUS ACTS ARE AS FILTHY RAGS, in regard to qualifying for or earning any part of salvation. Isaiah 64:6 (KJV), “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Any person that relies on any works / human effort for salvation will not be saved. Salvation is not received by inviting Lord Jesus into your heart, asking, good works/deeds, confessing, praying, calling, water baptism, repenting of sins, surrendering, turning from sins, confirmation, commandment keeping, dedicating/giving your life to God, church attendance, or any other human effort / works, etc., etc. Galatians 5:4 (KJV), “Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved). BELIEVING the Gospel, (1 Cor. 15:1-4) with NO Faith on ANY Human Effort, is the ONLY way to Receive Salvation. Notice what is NOT included (works / human effort). Romans 4:5 (KJV), “But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (‘righteousness’ means God makes the believer sinless in God’s eyes concerning standing and salvation) Acts 16:30-31(KJV) - “The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Romans 3:28 (KJV), “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Jesus is God the Son who came as God in flesh: Titus 2:13 (KJV), “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” Colossians 1:15 (KJV), “Jesus is the image of the invisible God......" 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV), “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh." Isaiah 9:6 (KJV), "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." God makes the believer Permanently Born-Again (Sinless Standing in God’s Eyes); this is a one-time event: John 3:3 (KJV), “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born-again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 1:12-13 (KJV), “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on his name. Which were BORN, not of blood, NOR OF THE WILL OF THE FLESH, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, BUT OF GOD.” John 3:6 (KJV), “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Titus 3:5 (KJV), “NOT by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the WASHING OF REGENERATION, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.” Eternal Security for the born-again believer is true. Believing that a born-again person can lose salvation means we approach God for salvation with faith on HUMAN EFFORT, and that means NO salvation. Ephesians 4:30 (KJV), “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption.” John 6:37 (KJV), “All that the Father giveth me shall come to m4909e; and him that cometh to me I WILL NO WISE CAST OUT.” 1 Peter 1:4-5 (KJV), “To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

That is wrong, Jude quotes FROM 1 Enoch. It is part of the Dead Sea scrolls. It was much older than Jude. It’s completely the other way around. Jude quotes directly from 1 Enoch. 2nd and 3rd Enoch are later books falsely attributed, but 1ST Enoch is true. Real. Peter quotes directly from Enoch as well. And that is 100% provably long after 1 Enoch came out, it cannot be the other way around. The New Testament writers quote FROM Enoch, not the other way around.

The Holy Ghost that comes in Jesus's name and does not speak on its own authority. This is different from the Comforter. And the Holy Ghost is who he is by inheritance and not works. By God this is a person who reiterates the words of Jesus. I have fifty books given to me by Spirit of Truth. Please pray to God to direct you to this so you know it is of God.
