Ha ha! My wife and I still quote that "How's the peeping Tommy" whenever we catch one of us looking at something out of the window. Phillip is so great in that film. Actually everyone is great in that film.

He's an actor. Remembering things is the job. Actors make very good lawyers because not only are they able to remember a LOT of cases, like scripts, but in court they entertain and can win over judges and juries.

I didn’t love the film Road to Perdition, it was too tragic and dark for my taste, but I did see it in theater at the time being the fan of Jude Law and Paul Newman. You’re right, he is great in that surprising role as the obsessed assassin.

Gattaca is the definition of underrated. One of the greatest modern sci fi films ever made starring Ethan hawk and Jude Law and no one knows about it

I love that Jude Law is talking here about Gattaca, especially that scene on the staircase. That was a powerful scene. I fell in love with his acting when I first saw him in that movie in 1997 and been an admirer since. He had such a magnetic presence on the screen and such subtle but deep, intense emotional expressions, and he was so handsome, I was glued to his scenes asking myself, “who is this gorgeous amazing actor?” I remember I went to the good old Blockbuster and rented all the VHS of his previous films that were available, binge-watched them, lol. “The Talented Mr Ripley”, “Enemy at the Gates”, “Cold Mountain”, “The Grand Budapest Hotel” are some of my most favorite films of Jude Law. So happy to see him enjoying his well-deserved, successful career and I’m really looking forward to seeing “The Order”.

come to think of it, one of the most under-rated and brill Brit actors, there's more: side effects, sherlock holmes, contagion, the holiday, all the king's men and of course the 2 brilliant performances of his - cold mountain and road to perdition....great career

The Talented Mr Ripley is one of my top twenty films of all time.. I dont list them in particular order since its like trying to compare Maradona to Messi... ergo, they were both great. Casablanca is another one on my list if thats any help.. brilliant movie, and so is the Talented Mr Ripley! What a story and it goes from being a fun movie to very dark in the blink of an eyelid. Most movies you know how its going to end after about five minutes.. not this. And Gwyneth Paltrow, easily her best role... and Who knew Matt Damon could play a villain?

Concerning Henry VIII, he wasn't meant to be king it was only after the death of his brother, Arthur, when Henry was 10 that he became next in line. Arthur had married Catherine of Aragon when he was 15 as was she, but he died about a year later leaving Catherine a widow. Catherine of Aragon whose parents were the very powerful King and Queen of Spain was considered too much of a great match to let her go so it was decided that Henry should marry her which he did. From historical accounts theirs was a happy marriage and lasted for about 20 years but Henry desperately wanted a male heir which Catherine couldn't give him so he decided to get a divorce maintainng that their union was being punished by God for he had married his brother's widow. The rest you know.
