Clarifying; I misspoke in the 3:50 mark and was supposed to say “The last possible moment to play Hypothermia is the Resolution Step.” The priority window in the Link Step is after the game grants the 1 Action Point from Go Again and would be too late.

What times is it legal to play this card if you're not playing Isylander?

@@agosta44 Hypothermia is an Action Card. Action Cards, typically, can only be played when the; the turn player has priority, stack is empty, costs 1 action point, and during the action phase. Iyslander's ability to allow a blue action card to be played "As an Instant" removes those restrictions on Action Cards, except for "when the turn player has priority". Which allows for complicated plays like the situations described.

and throughout the video, u seem to refer to the resolution step as the step where u again an act pt from go again, but shouldnt tht happen in the link step? should i ignore the video and just follow this comment instead?

@@GablyFably The Action Point from Go Again is granted in the Link Step, but the priority window in the Link Step comes after that point in time. So if you want to grant or take away Go Again, you need to do it in the Resolution Step.

Silken form, qwell and instant create ashwing, can you do both and why

Yes. After you use the Quell on Silken Form on a damage event, the Silken Form does not leave the arena until the End of Turn. So when you have a priority window, which there is going to be at least one before the End of Turn phase, you may activate Silken Form's Instant ability and create an Ashwing from the same Ash that was generated from Dromai's ability from paying for Quell.

i believe this works! because like he said, once you get to the damage step, the card would check the two abilities “gains go again” from razor and “can’t gain” from hypo

How does Scar for a Scar work If life total change before the dmg step?

Game checks Scar for a scar in Resolution step. If you have more life by then it won’t gain go again if you have less it will gain go again. :)

Looking for some extra clarification. Can hypothermia be played in response to dorinthia breaking refraction bolters? This would be during the resolution step. Would the popping of bolters create a layer that isylander can respond to?

You can, but Iyslander would want to wait. Bolters create a layer in the resolution step every time Dawnblade hits. The Dori player then chooses to break them as the layer resolves. Iyslander would want to wait until the Bolters layer has resolved and the Dori chose to break them. Then, priority would be passed to Isylander who can play Hypothermia on an empty stack. Once both players have passed priority on an empty stack, you enter the link step.
