They are entitled to due process but some of the best people I’ve known grew up being “whooped” and what not by their old school black moms who flat out beat on them. That is not the norm though. I chose to talk and teach instead oh punishing, never spanked my son, and he’s got a way better head on his shoulders than most young adults, and the non-physical parenting style is objectively much better but it takes more effort from the parents to teach instead of scare their kids into good behavior.
