This has nothing to do with race. This is just a man who is shameful for disrespecting his parents. He was provided a home and education something that most people would envy to have. It's clear that this man wanted to live his life as a bum.

When I hear stories like this, I thank my mother for everything she did. She made sure I & my sister knew we weren't going to be living in her house after 18. She didn't just toss us out, she showed us our options and made sure we both picked something to do as adults and pushed us that way. Now we both are college grads making good money and haven't had to live off our parents since 18. Be thankful for your parents (if they are good), it could be a whole lot worse.

This is why the black community is in shambles, I'm not defending leaching off ones parents or this bum but what's this general fixation on living on your own, as an African immigrant we don't move out until we are fully established and married, thus why we tend to do better that African Americans not to be disrespectful but for God's sake what kind of career can one really have in their late teens and early 20s

Danny Barzegar because of how he did it. His responses are problems sterotypicaly associated to white middle class families. Like giving your son 1200 to find a place . Going to college and dropping out etc. The one thing he did that's of minority is being a dead beat dad. Lol. But Mexicans usually dont get that type of help from family and still call their parents bad people afterwards.

I live in the Bay Area, and the rent here is so high, many people can’t afford to live on their own. But if someone is going to live with their parents, it should be more of a “roommate agreement”. They should pay rent, and I don’t mean tossing mommy a few dollars here and there. No, I mean split the rent, PG&E, cable, etc. I’m even teaching my son who just turned 18 that he needs to pay one of the bills; either cable or PG&E and help with groceries. It works out perfectly for our family, and it teaches him responsibility.

His parents mentally abused him, keeping him down. Probably the type to talk about him behind his back. Thinking that's the type of encouragement he needs. He didnt let himself go just because. Some parents become that co worker set on ruining your life.

It's obvious that the guy has a low self esteem. Probably from his parents knocking him down so low. Makes it hard to do anything when you are suffering from depression.

People who know his parents say they are extremely hardworking and that it was very expensive for them to finally take him to court. He wouldn't even rake a leaf. Lazy POS. You'd think at this age, he's starting to take care of _them_

Misways well if you think about, his rent , food, internet, phone bill, electricity, etc., is being subsidized by his parents. So if you think about it again, he is the typical welfare leech more than the n- word you just mentioned.

He wouldn't make Donkey of The Day. Although some mothers may want him around due to fear of being alone, most wouldn't put up with the B.S. If you're not contributing and doing something with your life, that mother would make your life a living hell if you didn't get the memo to leave. No court... just changed locks and a cast iron skillet if you break the locks.

Why does race even matter? I know people of other races that are still at their parents house... in their late 20s. All parents are different doesn't matter the color you are.

Dan Johnson black parents will be quick to kick you out at 18 unless you're doing something with yourself (you're in college, you have a full-time job, basically if you're working towards something and you show ambition and drive.). White parents generally will allow this to happen and have all of this pent up anger that their kid doesn't even try to do anything with themselves. They allow their kids to mooch off of them way longer than most black parents would.

I will do that thank you. The reason behind my question though is that we all need to get away from things being about race I feel to further help equality. If its always about the color of your skin its just gonna keep setting us back

Kids shouldn’t be kicked out at 18, I mean, my child could still be at home at that age if they were actively moving forward in life. The cost of living is so crazy nowadays and if they go to college, they can come home, pay off the debt sooner and then go on with life like a lot of folks I have met. I think this happened because he lost focus after switching degrees and then losing custody of his child. That shit destroys men so he needs help. It’s sad.
