A person who would attack this judge who was brutally beaten, much worse for what his intent was, is as cowardly as the attacker himself. If this man has a mental issue has nothing to do with what the justice system does as he is a danger to his community. It is not up to our justice system to fix his mental illness it is up to his family and friends. If they are unable to do anything about his issues then it is left to the justice system to deal with it in protecting the community.

Once they lock you in, there's very little chance that you're going to be able to jump out and do anything of the sort. I used to think that those types of courtroom layouts were cruel. Seen some comments/replies saying she was provoking/trying to be funny by saying she was going to give him a taste of something else or words to that effect. How is it provoking to say he needs a taste of something else, you only get punished more by continuing to make bad decisions. Also seen people saying he had changed and she should be lenient, how is continuing to make bad decisions changing, it's literally the exact opposite.

@@GrimReaper1971 The defendant should have been managing his mental state as the program he was in instructed him to. A schizophrenic needs to generally be on medication at all times. If it was solely his mental illness, he would not have waited to jump the bench; he would have been physically out of control to at least some degree sooner in the sentencing hearing. This incident was calculated. Prior to having schizophrenia, everyone also has a personality; his was criminal is what it looks like.
