A CNA is NOT a nurse. A nurse goes to college for years. A CNA goes for months at a vocational school. They are the assistant to the RN.

One wipes butts and gives bathes, the other gives out medication, performs advanced tasks, many years of knowledge. I know my Dad was a FF/Paramedic, then went on to become a RN after early retirement.
@Smd6263-i6oАй бұрын
You guys are both right. A CNA and RN are different. One is a nurse, one is a nurse aide. I am speaking as someone that has worked my way from a CNA, to LPN, to RN, and now RN supervisor. Yes, CNAs are "wiping butts," but they do much more than that. They're some of the hardest working people I've met. And chances are, you have a family member taken care of by those butt wipers. And there's a very high chance you yourself will be cared for by one of those wipers. They spend more one on one time with the people they care for, and nurses rely heavily on them. - fun fact; CNAs are getting paid higher starting wages than LPNs in many areas.

This is the punk rock judge we need in every courthouse. He is the same with everyone in terms of logic and fairness, which is rare to observe. I thought he was mean at first when seeing all of the cherry-picked short clips but I discovered that he has a good heart for someone in his position (that's what she said) and he genuinely cares about the community he lives in. I want to meet him and talk about all of the craziness he's experienced over the years.

Sure, all that's illegal here too, just no one gets stopped for it. I'm guessing that in Houston there's a special drunk driver or drug unit using license plate lights as a reason to make stops.

Sometimes I don't understand why Judge Fleischer is so patient with some people and not others. Case in point, the defendant who wanted his bond lowered, with repeated assaults, who threatened someone with a machete and 9mm handgun. I agree, most people need some kind of help or a second chance and Judge Fleischer's compassion always shines, but this guy has multiple charges after being issued a PR bond. Other people in this same situation would have been TOTALLY reamed out by the Judge for even asking a favor when having such charges and picking up new cases He was, however, so understanding with this guy and spent a lot of time with him. With other people he would have been fed up and said his usual "I'm not going to play this game", etc. That said, this is not a criticism of the Judge; just an observation that his moods or displays of anger seem to be inconsistent between two people who may have similar charges and/or circumstances. I don't get it, unless it simply boils down to his mood on any given day.

Court hearings must be held in a public forum with very limited exceptions.
@kac4klhc9772 ай бұрын
They need the prosecutor and defense attorneys on hand. The defendants whose hearing are that morning are there as well. Probation officers need to be present too. Not sure which shouldn’t be there in “open court”. Also remember the public has a right to attend and watch on zoom. Don’t necessarily agree, but that’s part of a democratic society
@JimiandSamantha2 ай бұрын
@kac4klhc977 I think it's important. If there are truly personal matters that don't impact public safety such as divorce, or issues with children, then hearings can be held behind closed doors, but generally speaking, the right of public interest is important.

I live in Ontario Canada. If I lend my car to someone with a license. My insurance covers them. Is Texas different. Even if you don’t own a car you need insurance to drive someone else’s vehicle?
@juangomez-CTC2 ай бұрын
In Texas the insurance follows the driver not the car so if you have a nice car you need to make sure the person you let drive your car has high limits. In most other states the insurance follows the car like in Canada. Some states have a no fault system meaning your insurance covers you if someone hits you.
@stevennoel7395Ай бұрын
It really does depend, the car could have uninsured drivers coverage, but that would have to be selected.
@mnpd32 ай бұрын
I don't understand the question the judge asks about whether or not the defendant has vehicle insurance in their name. Where I come from we insure vehicles, not persons. With the vehicle insured it doesn't matter who drives it.
@JimiandSamantha2 ай бұрын
Varies by state. Some states insurance follows the driver, other states jt's the car. Some states, like Mass, have exclusions for household members not listed on the policy. It depends on the state.

I honestly believe that this Judge is doing his best to use his authority to help people make better choices and improve their lives. He seems to actually care about the people in his community which is pretty unheard of and absolutely amazing 🤩…The only problem with that is the majority of the people who are arraigned are then made to pay outrageous fines instead of sitting behind bars and so often so many of them have no possible way to pay what they owe which gives them hope and then rips it away which leaves them feeling even worse about themselves and they end up going around and around in the system which they have no choice but to stay in for many many years because our judicial system is 100% based on how much money that they are able to squeeze out of every single person who offends from Murder down to a parking ticket. Sad but true ✌️
@kac4klhc9772 ай бұрын
Not true, the bond reform gives defendants no bonds on the first charge, they pay ZERO! If they violate bond conditions and are jailed their bonds are still usually pretty low example $500, which is only 10% ($50) at a bond company. So defendants are given a huge break with these reforms.

Just some information. Judge Fleischer is a county judge in Texas. He is not an immigration judge. Only the federal government can deport someone. Even if someone comes into this country illegally they are still entitled to legal representation. County judges cannot arrest someone for being an illegal immigrant since it is also a civil issue. Even if an illegal immigrant commits a crime in the US they will most likely serve their time here before being deported anyway.
