The speaker (Justice Fritz Brandt) while acting in the Constitutional Court in 2011 penned a ground breaking judgment the famous Camps Bay v Harris & Others...where he with clarity of no match explanied what the doctrine of "Judicial Precedent " entails...i think it paragraph 28. Note made on Monday 10 April 2023...sitting at Spur in Grahamstown.

He talked about really eminent judges of olden times, m not suggesting that current ones are less capable, but the ones mentioned were really outstanding Corbett CJ, Watermeyer, Rose Innes,Peter Scutzh...I normally refer to their reasoning in the present blood and flesh cases...and court would agree with me.
