Where were people like you for the first couple hundred years of America where you had to be a white man to be in any part of the United States government? I always thought the United States government was supposed to represent the people of America. Having 108 out of 118 justices be white men just doesn't sound like a fair representation of America to me does it to you? People like you just refuse to see racism or sexism as it exists all over this country going on every day today but you come out of the woodwork when someone tries to fix things. Same thing happened in the astronaut Corps. Even when it started, it could have easily expanded it be more than white men but since they only needed a few astronauts they make sure they were all white men for a very long time even though Kennedy insisted on adding one black black man, he was quickly removed after the assassination. then when NASA started recruiting female and minority astronauts with the help of star treks nichelle nicholes, people like you showed up and started crying racism.

With respect, to whom are you referring when you write of , "Those melanated immigrants who kept their accents so as not to be mistaken for one of them 'lazy blacks'"? (sic: 'Blacks" should be capitalized)" Which melanated immigrants, and why should any immigrant necessarily feel compelled to alter their accent? The reasons that emigres choose to retain their accents, or choose to strive to affect a foreign accent-- entirely a different matter than labouring at learning a new language--are quite varied, particular, and complex. I fear that in attempting to make some profound point--perhaps about the intersectionality of race, national identity, assimilation, class, psychology, and linguistics--you have set your feet upon terra incognita. If a penis has not stopped your "up," and you regularly browse more than a pocket dictionary, a bit of African American HerStory might "due your good." In the 1970s, the immigration laws were changed. Why? Weaponized to take the Affirmative Action jobs, richly melanated "blacks" were then imported, and instructed, to keep their accents. Many followed those instructions to the accented letter, and those who later lost their "prime mortgage scandal-lies" homes stopped thinking that they had "it" made; especially those who can still be deported. If "The All-of-it" wasn't so tragic, it would be hilarious. Your use of BIG words was thrilling. I could almost feel your love affair with your thesaurus. However, Word is still [a] god. @S D You seem to be basing your premise on the idea that the sole criteria used in the selection of Brown-Jackson was her skin color. But in actual fact, she's well qualified (based on her knowledge of law and jurisprudence) for the position she's just earned for herself, on the Court. That's really the main point I wanted to make. It ultimately comes down to FAR more than the irrelevance of someone's race or ethnicity.

THIS is what I wanted to see! I could not stomach the idiocy that she had to be subjected to, all of them reaching and just making sorry excuses one after another as if they were champions for what they deemed negative about her. She is humble, poised and drips of intelligence she will fit right in with her professionalism and personality just glowing her path. I wish her the best!💖💝

It's basic procedure for opposing senators to 'grill' a Supreme Court nominee. It's the highest position in the land and is permanent. Secondly, she refused to define what a woman is. But you got what you wanted, enjoy the sinking ship while you can
