A lot of restaurants will not let you bring in any outside drinks/food. These people were still served even though they brought in a whole cooler and a thermos! Good for Judge Judy for getting it. Restaurants are businesses. They are not charities and cannot.provide unlimited free service. As s former restaurant worker, I despised it when I saw people coming in bringing their own tea bags and wanting endless water. And the racisl slurs to the server were uncalled for. My own sister did this once. We went to a lovely local theatre that had been lovingly restored and now held magic shows for kids, supplemented by evening movies for adults. My sister always wanted to bring her own water and not have to buy theirs. I told her I wished she wouldn't do that, but she did. Once, when she walked in with her water, one of the players who was working there asked her not to do that again. He explained that they made money off the concession stand, But she later said she was going to do it anyway. She also thought it was okay to just sit at a restaurant table for hours and never order. "Why should I pay for their food?" Basically, she's just cheap. I don't have any contact with her any longer.

First case plaintiffs are the worst kind of people. They're entitled and racist. I would have awarded them to pay the defendants at least $100 each for having to deal with those people. He's a doctor but he brings his own tea bags and is upset about being charged for the water. Really? I feel bad for the defendants. He claims the service was bad and wasn't going to tip, but he will eat a free meal?

While in school I was a server & bartender. What ppl like you don't understand is this.. Servers & bartenders pay to the restaurant a percentage of their daily sales. If it's a good day, that's a lot of money! It's for bussers, bartender backs, runners etc... If ppl like you don't leave a tip..it actually COST the employee money on your visit. Also, it's not minimum wage..its around 3bucks an hour for the hourly wage! Horrible person to not tip!

A tip is not mandatory, now they almost make it mandatory. If I want to tip I will ,if I don't I won't. Why don't we just tip everyone that waits on us? That statement about the c wages is false ,my daughter's were waitresses and they made good wages .We don't have to tip if we don't want to it's as simple as that
