What I would like an answer to is how can we impeach the Supreme Court Justices who are leaning toward the former president regarding his immunity issue and also, what can't we impeach those Justices who, upon confirmation, testified that they would uphold the Roe vs. Wade, but then overturned that. I would point out that presidents ARE "immediately accountable" (potentially) for their crimes committed while in office: they can be impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate. President Nixon memorably resigned when threatened with impeachment, and it was taken as a given (the message being conveyed by senators from his own party) that the Senate was prepared to convict him for his crimes related to the Watergate burglary. How the mighty have fallen. Trump's party prefers complicity to honor and worship of a degraded human over loyalty to country.

Presidents CAN "immediately" be "held accountable" for their crimes while in office. Impeachment (House) and conviction (Senate) by Congress is the prescribed process for a *sitting* president. A *former* president is a mere citizen once more, and may be held accountable by the court system for crimes, whether impeached prior to leaving office, or not. Unless the Supreme Court makes something up over the coming weeks, former president Trump will have to answer for indicted crimes.
