If you're watching all of his cases closely, you will have seen that day by day, judges and their staff are occasionally making decisions that can only be explained by fear/intimidation. It's the same with state officials weaseling out of barring Trump from the ballot. They are receiving death threats and are literally scared for themselves and their families. This intimidation is a huge part of Trump's legal strategy... Because it works. It's what got him his success in the past too. He operates like a mafia don.

There are good reasons not to have cameras in courts, esp to ensure the fair and effective operation of the legal system and the protection of those involved. You have political goals in mind (and I would like to see the back of Trump as much as you would) but you don't turn the legal process into more of a circus, encouraging more grandstanding by incompetent counsel like Alina Habba and host of other negative effects just to achieve a political goal. Well, he doesn't even need to be there, so like anyone there to observe, he was allowed to leave. And he did so right after the judge said that he wouldn't tolerate any distractions or speaking out of turn. I'll give Trump credit for bailing, knowing that he couldn't possibly keep his mouth shut. In the end, the jury is going to take his behavior into consideration when deciding upon the punitive damages they'll award to Ms. Carroll.
