I thought this was going to be "Sleazy defendant takes advantage of plaintiff," but really, she said she considers the $1,000 a loan and asked him to tell her how much he feels the work she did for him was worth, and she'd pay back the difference. That makes absolute sense to me. If she did $500 worth of work, let's say, she owes him $500. What's his problem? Aside from the obvious.

I obviously can't say for sure but I think she is really well rehearsed at coming off as am honest, professional person but under all of that rehearsal, planning, and plastic surgery she is just a classic con-woman. There is just too many red flags like having no money for rent yet being a professional with the same job for an extended amount of time. Going on a date for the first time and telling the guy about your money problems, acknowledging that it's true but claiming you did that because you are a self declared "very open person."

This is a pure case where the client wanted more than she would give. He could have hired a marketing company but he hired a girl off a dating site for a reason. The rent money actually doesn't mean anything because 1K is about the right price for everything she offered. And then surprise, when she wouldn't sleep with him and his business wasn't booming, now he wants his money back. Terrible client! The worst kind. They should have had a formal contract and the rent money would have been a non-issue.
