"Grammaticly fixed" For those who would say that she has a language barrier, it isn't hard to lie to say you don't understand when it is convenient for your case. She works at an agency, meaning her job consists of clear communication and understanding of their clients. If she has a hard time understanding English, then it doesn't make sense for a person to work in a place that demands people to speak clearly and understand clearly. It would be a detriment and a liability for the business owner if she said anything that would escalate to a lawsuit. OG for comparison on what i wrote 1st time: For those who would say that she has a language barrier, it isn't hard to lie to say you don't understand when it is a convenience for your case, she works at a agency meaning her job consists of clear communication and understanding of their clients, if she would have a hard time to understand english then it doesn't make sense for a person to work on a place where it demands for people to speak clearly and understand clearly. EXACTLY! I say this all the time to people who give non-English speakers more benefit of doubt than they deserve: bullshit is a universal language. The woman LITERALLY said "I don't want to pay rent unless it is only paying my half. I have not paid rent since (5 months ago). Now, I'm getting evicted!" What part of that mistranslated to these people? A difficult accent to hear doesn't make the bullshit any truer. XD

As a European who's fluent in American-English in both speaking and writing, having a strong accent doesn't mean you don't know the language itself. And I've never been to an English-speaking country. It's just that English is the universal language. It's common for people who are in business and work with all sorts of people to know the language. She has to know enough in order to be signing documents, discuss business with other people, etc. People who don't speak a certain language simply don't know that specific language, they're not stupid when it comes to how humans work in society, such as paying rent.

It's pretty simple logic and happens all the time: Stay until you're evicted and move some place else before the eviction hits your credit. The thing those folks don't think about is, that eviction stays for 7 years and will make it hard for you to get a place for about 3 years. So it's best to workout out a deal with the landlord and move out.
@warmcozy2 жыл бұрын
Good point. They also don’t understand that landlords have their own eviction record system, and an eviction stays on that little private system for life.
@Kaboomboo2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand it's a real headache to evict someone too because they have to take you to court first. And in order to take them to court, they have to set the date, actually show up, etc. I've never been under the threat of eviction so I'm not sure of all the details, but there are so many protections for tenants that flakes like this lady can abuse in order to squat for a few months.
@alicea52 жыл бұрын
Idk if this matters, but whenever I apply for rental - I always is asked where I am living and who is the landlord. When I last applied for a small unit three blocks away, but am still also in the lease of the home I shared with my parents - my property management called me if the family is planning to move out as another property management had called them. I wonder, would anything happen if they didn’t tell the new property management of recent eviction?
