i see how she acts.. i think she's faking the "language barrier" she was so confident smirking and holding back laughter when the plaintiff was talking(part 1). so she understands them properly. she also works at a talent agency, so she knows how to speak english. faking the language barrier is a common thing. edit: i also believe the call after the pic was sent. its not out of the ordinary to call to discuss something when you see how serious it is.

"Grammaticly fixed" For those who would say that she has a language barrier, it isn't hard to lie to say you don't understand when it is convenient for your case. She works at an agency, meaning her job consists of clear communication and understanding of their clients. If she has a hard time understanding English, then it doesn't make sense for a person to work in a place that demands people to speak clearly and understand clearly. It would be a detriment and a liability for the business owner if she said anything that would escalate to a lawsuit. OG for comparison on what i wrote 1st time: For those who would say that she has a language barrier, it isn't hard to lie to say you don't understand when it is a convenience for your case, she works at a agency meaning her job consists of clear communication and understanding of their clients, if she would have a hard time to understand english then it doesn't make sense for a person to work on a place where it demands for people to speak clearly and understand clearly. It would be a detriment and a liablity for the buisness owner if she said anything that would escalate to a lawsuit.

EXACTLY! I say this all the time to people who give non-English speakers more benefit of doubt than they deserve: bullshit is a universal language. The woman LITERALLY said "I don't want to pay rent unless it is only paying my half. I have not paid rent since (5 months ago). Now, I'm getting evicted!" What part of that mistranslated to these people? A difficult accent to hear doesn't make the bullshit any truer. XD

As a European who's fluent in American-English in both speaking and writing, having a strong accent doesn't mean you don't know the language itself. And I've never been to an English-speaking country. It's just that English is the universal language. It's common for people who are in business and work with all sorts of people to know the language. She has to know enough in order to be signing documents, discuss business with other people, etc. People who don't speak a certain language simply don't know that specific language, they're not stupid when it comes to how humans work in society, such as paying rent.

SO I just blew my argument on mostly older people cannot speak or understand English, those two young men couldn't understand very little English.

It's pretty simple logic and happens all the time: Stay until you're evicted and move some place else before the eviction hits your credit. The thing those folks don't think about is, that eviction stays for 7 years and will make it hard for you to get a place for about 3 years. So it's best to workout out a deal with the landlord and move out.
@warmcozy
@warmcozy 2 жыл бұрын
Good point. They also don’t understand that landlords have their own eviction record system, and an eviction stays on that little private system for life.
@Kaboomboo
@Kaboomboo 2 жыл бұрын
From what I understand it's a real headache to evict someone too because they have to take you to court first. And in order to take them to court, they have to set the date, actually show up, etc. I've never been under the threat of eviction so I'm not sure of all the details, but there are so many protections for tenants that flakes like this lady can abuse in order to squat for a few months.
@alicea5
@alicea5 2 жыл бұрын
Idk if this matters, but whenever I apply for rental - I always is asked where I am living and who is the landlord. When I last applied for a small unit three blocks away, but am still also in the lease of the home I shared with my parents - my property management called me if the family is planning to move out as another property management had called them. I wonder, would anything happen if they didn’t tell the new property management of recent eviction?

I highly doubt the defendant offered to pay for repairs of the vehicle.... according to the case, she does not like paying rent. In addition, she seemingly is incapable of holding herself accountable regarding her lack of payment of rent. Unless, she just like to hear herself speak, like a lot of other individuals and when it comes down to it, they fail every time; not about that life(sort of speak). 🤷🏽‍♀️ GREAT judgement from Judge Judy.👏🏽👏🏽

Ugh, wasn't a fan of the Defendant. Just something not quite right about her. Considering the fact that the car was in her possession when it was hit then it should be her responsibility to fix it. JJ was a little hard on the Asian couple, they were very polite to her and JJ was a bit rude back. Not nice JJ.

I don’t think the defendant understands that once the other two parties leave then she’s expected to make up the whole rent until the end of the lease. Also, I’m the first video, I don’t think she understands what a squatter is.
@chepep0n
@chepep0n 2 жыл бұрын
JJ accused her of being a squatter and she accepted it because of a language barrier (thus incriminated herself unknowingly), that should be reason enough to suspend the trial and make a new one with a judge that is better qualified to deal with minorities.

@@chepep0n Baloney. She’s stealing from the landlord, and she knows it. She’s living in a place and paying _nothing_ for 5 months. She doesn’t need to know the word for what she’s doing is ‘squatting’ to be guilty of cheating the landlord out of the rent he needs to cover his own costs. The defendant is selfish, and dishonest, in any language.

She's a pedestrian Sofia Vergara, in that there's no language barrier, she's using her strong accent and playing it up to make people think that so it might affect things in her outcome, just like how Sofia Vergara exaggerated her accent for 11 years on Modern Family, to play the character of Gloria,cause then that's what the character called for, and STILL does on talk shows cause she knows that's what people expect after 11 years. But it's greatly exaggereted for effect.

Sofia is a comedian who uses what she can. Chris Farley was amazing but his schtick was being a fat guy. Comedians use what they have. Even straight actors and actresses tend to play a type. You are just fussed because she’s a) a beautiful woman who wouldn’t even glance at you and b) Hispanic. Racist as well as misogynistic.

If there was an accident with another car then there should be a police report or a witness for the other side. My guess is the other person was at fault so he should be going after that person for the damages since the driver of their car had permission to drive their car. That is why JJ ruled not to give them money for car damages.
