The plaintiff claims that her mother wasn’t around to raise her due to her drug addiction, and thus their relationship has always been rocky. She is suing her mother for an unpaid loan. The defendant admits to using drugs but insists that she’s been clean for two years.

Through God Grace I've been clean and serene for 24yrs and counting. But you have to wanted and be serious about your recovery.

For many addicts when life gets hard they relapse because for so long that's what they did to cope, be numb to situations, etc. It's when they really get to the roots of their problems & secrets & learn new coping skills is usually when they maintain not just long term sobriety but recovery as well

The maturity of the plaintiff and her emotionally healthy demeanor is commendable. It takes a lot of courage and self empowerment to move through a parent that is consistently a disappointment. She's goes to NA conventions, i support a brother who an addict & i have to say, those NA conventions are 🔥🔥🔥 Ain't no party like a NA party especially around the holidays, those clean parties are wonderful but as we can see that the children of addict's go through a hell that children were meant to go through, they grow up faster than other kids and develop a bit of a hard protective shell.

People always do that, when they come into some money, by way of settlement, life insurance and the oh so infamous tax return. They immediately start spending it on whatever they want and need when the first priority needs to be pay your debts and pay who you owe. Then with whatever money if any is left you spend it as you see fit.

People places and things play a big part. Mom also mentioned underlying issues. If you don’t bring all of that out it could cause you to relapse. Everyone triggers are different.
