12:53 This idea that Asgore is peeing on the flowers is so prevalent that Toby Fox named a similar sprite in Deltarune "Notpiss" in the game files and made it abundantly clear that a watering can was being used lol
@pikminpro2001Ай бұрын
i always thought he was watering with a watercan, because the thought of finally meeting the king and him just peeing didn't even come up in my head.
@lukers9819Ай бұрын
@@pikminpro2001 same. It didn't occur to me either because of the gravity of the situation. But it was common enough that it got the creator's attention lol

18:47 Maybe you have figured this out on your own by this point, but Asgore is actually not judging you for your actions at all by trying to kill you. The only one who judged you was sans, which was really more of an introspection kind of judgement. He wanted you to look inside yourself now that you know what EXP and LV stand for. He doesn't actually tell you that you did anything wrong and wants you to just consider what you did for yourself (unless you kill his brother Papyrus and then the conversation definitely gets more accusatory). Asgore's motivation is to free the monsters from the confines of the Underground ( 7:45 ). You are the 7th human soul needed to set them free. It is truly nothing personal against you or what you did. Certainly, the King probably was angry enough that he may have wanted to kill a human immediately after the deaths of his two children, but that anger has long since faded over the years and now he only kills you out of obligation to free his people. Like you state here at this timestamp though, this plan is definitely morally grey or worse... Even if the humans started the war and locked monsters underground, it doesn't make it right to kill people to set them free. He definitely takes no pleasure or pride in it as indicated by a lot of dialogue in the game. Of course, that isn't to say that things won't go differently if you don't kill anyone! Just that it doesn't affect his motivation for needing you dead to free his people.

It makes sense, it's tragic. Very sad. But that's part of what makes the game and its story memorable and good!

The first song you hear as you go through Asgore's house is the title track of Undertale, and it's my favorite one of the game! Digging your Moldsmal voices, I love how one of them is Dracula and another is a Midwestern mom (a glorious combination if ever I've seen one). Your realization that you actually can die was beautifully timed. XD I really hope you play another runthrough of the game after this, the way you pondered doing (with sparing rather than fighting)! Beesechurger Alas, the inventory management issues mixed with buying two Glamburgers instead of like six Junk Foods for the same price turns me into the closest thing to a rabid Undertale fan that I ever get. XD Godspeed! And whenever you "Mystify" a Final Froggit, I always imagine it as your character doing the magic trick where you dramatically pretend your thumb has detached.

Sometimes the voices make sense, other times I just feel like doing an impression :p thanks for noticing!

I absolutely love the song that plays in Asgore's home as well as the CORE. Now you just face king Fluffybuns himself without the option for mercy whatever shall you do?
@LPsLPsАй бұрын
The new home song is really good actually, listened to that today! Funnily enough it's just called Undertale

"Ready for what" oh man hahah. You forgot what Alphys said: *If you want to go home, you have to kill ASGORE* I think you already know and others already pointed out. But ASGORE is not judging you, he is just doing what he thinks he obliged to do. Sans was the one who "judged" you, but even that is more of an introspection. That said, the game does make some points. Undyne told you killed teen comedian Snowdrake because it was easy and she was certainly not happy about it. If you kill Papyrus, in that judgement Sans will mention what you said here about killing for self-defense. But he will also question, if you have a *special power* shouldn't you be responsible for doing the right thing? In the end it doesn't really matter what is right. But this game does really test your *determination* to do whatever you think is the way to go. I do kinda feel the way you rapidly went to slash Asgore kinda proves those 6 LOVE you have. However, I do really recommend replaying the game again without killing anyone. Is short to do and ties the whole experience together! Believe me is heavily worth it. PS: I love how you thought you couldn't die to ASGORE hahah! Also didn't knew that elevator worked without having to use it, that's crazy!

I thought maybe Asgore would spare me :p MAYBE. but no...

I know sometimes this weird feeling of "oh I think the game is mad at me" can be upsetting, but note how when Sans "judged" you, he still told you that the most important part is that you were honest with yourself- like I really don't think the game is supposed to be "blaming" you for what you did, in that kinda sense 🤔
@LPsLPsАй бұрын
Makes sense, just a "this is what you did"!

you know you talking about, talking with asgore about stuff, i can imagine it clearly. you two sitting together drinking some tea, talking about the architecture but both of you know what's going to go down... toriels room is actually the one under renovation this time around. sans is kinda happy with you, my first playthrough he was pretty dissapointed i had no clue nonviolence was an option outside of boss battles for some reason. luckily the game is very short so i just did it again as a nice guy! i love replayability! asgore is one of the nicest monsters in the entire game, only napstablook and papyrus come close on the nice scale. the literal only reason asgore wants to kill you is to save monsterkind from being stuck underground forever, and still he does it reluctantly. i mean his wife left him for wanting to avenge their children. he's a broken man that never really did any wrong. now time to beat him! wait uhh you died i mean uhh time to beat him, NEXT TIME, see you in the finale!

since i know you read these comments days later and it won't spoil anything for you - fun fact, the worn dagger is apparently the second worst weapon in the game! it's definitely worth using the burnt pan and stained apron if my experience watching speedruns is anything to go off

13:51 "Throw Throw Burrito" is a real "card" game. It plays kind of like the game "Spoons" if you know that one, but you throw burritos at your opponents instead of grabbing for spoons. We need to start a petition to get a livestream of you playing this!
