Okay so I know that the reason most of the houses just have bathtubs is because a lot of older european houses just have tubs with a like....shower wand thing? but I like to imagine that they only have bathtubs because most of the houses in this world are massive and therefore everyone in Aurora Skies never has to quickly shower due to them being rich.
@Rekowcski2 жыл бұрын
Yes I know what you mean, I wish we had plumbing like that in the game, it’s not the “tub” that bothers me, it’s that I wouldn’t be able to shower myself in it

You know when they have a large house, 3 or 4 floors, they should turn the upper floor into an attic. I've done that once in one of my own houses and I think they're neat. And you can store all kinds of things in it and forget they're there. Just like in real life! Wonderful world here! Oh, and being that I live near a large lake I can say that the idea of naming places "lakeview", "bayview" or basically anything with lake in the name and being no where near the water is a thing. At least that house was near to water.

I'm swedish/Norwegian, grandparents from 'the old country'. Lol. The barn style of cute LITTLE red wooden houses with white trim, or white with red trim or natural wood with these 2 colors are predominant in all the older, small towns. I see where they tried to convey that but missed the mark quite alot. Also, Scandinavians LOVE the outdoors and (even I do), LOVE to cook out/picnic even in cold weather. Popular saying in scandinavian countries is 'there is no bad weather, just bad clothes'. so I was happy to see the nice ponds and cook out settings. Fyi-theres a little floral painted wooden horse sculpture available in buy, it's a swedish dalah horse and EVERY scandinavian has atleast a dozen in their homes! I myself have 9! Why didn't they use it even once?!?!
@Rekowcski Жыл бұрын
I think the country houses could be a bit smaller and the downtown houses needed to be 1/4 of the size haha... but I do like knowing that the outdoor spaces are popular. Like most EA worlds, they just mixed several countries together so some stuff gets missed. If you saw the China (Shang Simla) review, EA chose to use a Japanese Torii as the logo 😂
@sarasmedberg82032 жыл бұрын
we have been using wooden 'hot tubs' for ages, i doubt we had showers during the middle ages and beyond and forth ;) we've definitely kept some of that around during scandinavia and its not usual for country houses and remote areas to still have some, but they're usually outside or kept out of the main living spaces. most of them are used as literal hot tubs and less for baths.

Just had to stop to let you know, the Beaker family is very much the same, at least the children: Loki (the mad scientist that married Circe and tortures poor Nervous subject), and his sister Erin (who is part of Singles family found in the bin), from Sims 2's infamous Strangetown. As for wooden baths, they can certainly be found in Asian and European areas (especially Islandic areas). While, they may not be as common in the more urban areas (with the exception of tourist spots), the rural (more rustic areas), they are quite common. Now just a side note about bathrooms, but if you ever get the chance to view many apartments's interior designs in Japan, I think you would likely be appalled by their choice in small box tubs (I am a petite gal, so for me no problem), but for someone who is tall, they are not as efficiently designed for, to say the least. As for the shower aspect, I noticed that they normally do have shower wands, but are lower, used both for filling the tub (if one can fit), as well as hand holding whilst showering (I suppose the could implement hooks/brackets up higher to hold the shower wands in place). I just thought you might like to be imformed of a notable culture that is geared towards cleanliness, their modernized tub/showers are quite small. 🙃
@TheMya1988 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I spoke too soon, before you realized that the children are Loki and Erin. I agree, Loki is not the ideal sim (although iconic, nonetheless), but at least Erin turned out okay❣ I am kind of sad that you didn't show the nighttime sky (even though you did opt to implement a lighting mod, whereby, I rather like Aurora Skies skylines, especially at night). As for me, I just had to go with the gold here, for the daycare venue, as I am a family player, and I did earn the SimPoints to buy it for free (at a very discounted price), by watching ads (unfortunately, Sims 4 sales were not escalating fast enough, so EA ended the ads for Sims 3 SimPoints, which were no longer relevant in Sims 4 dlc simulation game). And now, as Sims 4 should be winding to an end, they are going to be adding in a store, to add more insult to injury.
