Loved your video. They have the expansion adapter, a gopro adapter, and something like the peak design capture clip and you can go hands free by attaching the DJI to your back pack or sling bag. 🙂 Cheers!

I have an a7C and Pocket 3 too, and was planning to bring the a7C (with a Weebill S gimbal) to London someday. But the thought of carrying around the little, light Pocket 3 (instead of the bigger, much heavier a7C) is much more appealing, and I think my forearm will thank me!

Just the video I’ve been looking for on the net. I’ve been torn if it’s worth bringing to Japan. I might regret using it considering the quality of image and the whole focus breathing issue. I’m used to using my LUMIX S5II for my vlogs. I was just hoping for something convenient but now I’m not sure if it’s worth sacrificing quality.

Come on Omar, comparing the Pocket 3 with eh Zf/A7ii is hardly a fair fight! And certainly the price differential is huge. I don't think the lowlight footage is that bad, either. I watched this video on a 40" native 4K screen and it looked just fine. Personally, I don't want everything in the background out of focus when I am vlogging, so the action cam mostly does a decent job. I am still using an Insta360 RS with Leica 1" mod and, right now, the Pocket 3 is the only thing I'd consider upgrading to.

Since the focus and the exposure can be controlled it can look better than just quick casual footage, even though It’s wide angle and the depth of field is not shallow.

I've seen a few videos suggesting NOT to buy this camera. It fails without warning, at critical moments. I was so ready to buy this, but then I decided not to. And I heard the registration for this camera is a nightmare, you can use the camera for 2 weeks, until it won't allow you to use it unless you register. 10 minutes later: However after watching the rest of your video, I do have to say though that your complaints are kind of over the top. Despite the issues with this camera dying without notice, the footage is incredible. I don't know how you can otherwise find issues with it. I still might consider purchasing it with the replacement coverage. You are being too critical, I think for the price the video is outstanding.

Some action cameras can produce very decent video quality if you configure it well. I hope DJI make a normal mirrorless camera in the near future. DJI is part of the L Mount Alliance, so they have the mount, the color science, menus and UI, maybe only need to develop a proper autofocus

I really enjoyed this, great work. But here's a little tip. When you use the tracking feature in selfie mode, if you don't like the framing, just reframe using the joystick like you did, but keep the tracking on. The camera will then follow you with your reframing preserved.

Let me start by saying, i love your videos. Honest and real. Just wannna share that the expectations from such a tiny camera, should be moderated. I love the osmo pockets because my young kids can just pick it up and do a relatively good video. Nothing really for commercial purposes. Just for the fun of it.

Nice video,thank you. I'm surprised you didn't use the Low Light mode indoors, which is much better than regular video , to my eyes . I believe they bump up the ISO and apply noise reduction in camera. Thanks again 👍👍

Great video 👍👍. I’m on the fence about buying the Pocket 3. I vlog with a Sony mirrorless and GoPro cameras. I switch depending on the situation. The GoPro cameras are great for the “on the move” adventures or when I just want to pack light. Like you said, it’s all about the content anyway. I’m wondering could the Pocket 3 survive hiking and exploring. I’ll be moving around a lot more as the weather gets better and the durability of the pocket 3 concerns me.

I don't own one, I do have a bike but I wouldn't recommend it, I think the gimbal suffers at high speeds. Maybe for some slow speed shots but nothing too extreme.

You can strap the pocket 3 to yourself. You just need the proper strap. Also, try anything in a casino with an action cam and it falls apart. Digital stabilization doesn’t work. I bought this camera just for casinos and the strip because it’s so small.

Used the first gen Osmo cameras on a classic car series to shoot the interior of the car while driving. Worked pretty well but the grading/camera matching was murder! These newer models look a bit better for sure.

Image is better than I had it with my Sony handycam using MiniDV tapes. People are too nerds these days. The most important thing in video is the story, audio and lighting. And people still dont understand that colors are different in different screens they are watching it. It is not the same. What fits for you may look terrible for others. I have been working IT like 30 years and even today different screen shows colors extremely different than others. Same thing with Mics. Some mics works better with other devices. It is not that 1 mic is best for everything. You have to figure it out what works where the best.

The footages from the DJI Osmo P3, for the camera it is, were very good including those shot in low light which I’m guessing were done without using the low light mode. Also, every camera you use to shoot a video without using a mic will pick up background noise. Finally, the Sony A7C with a gimbal, mic and lenses cost thousands which is way more so not a fair comparison with the DJI

Nice video Omar, In order to get the best sound from the microphone it’s best to use the separate record in the mic 2 with the usb-c directly plug to the computer, synchronized it with the video and main audio then lower the ambiant sound of the default record to your taste if windy front and back mic only of the device (in the pro section). 2nd observation if manual white balance it’s slightly cooler (an additional few hundred k improve the overall sensation with the Lut applied afterward ) We are all like the girl in the last ten seconds , would love to share with you some good backs for all the help/ feedback experience you usually bring on this Chanel!
