I can’t tell you how much I cried watching this. As someone who grew up watching beauty pageants with my older sister, I always cried because back then….there were never really any girls in them who looked like me. I stopped watching them for a while because I never felt represented, and I’m not gonna lie….it made me think that as a little black girl that I wasn’t beautiful, and I was not beautiful enough to be in a pageant. However, seeing this video and seeing even just a few black girls in the video looking absolutely beautiful and some of them won, that made me so emotional but so happy because it shows that any girl of any race, nationality, and ethnicity can do pageants and even win. Loved seeing the representation 💕💕💕💕

Hi Lauren! It was me. I am the crazy woman who asked to walk and talk, after judging. I was in such a hurry to pack the car because we had to drive back to Orange Beach following the show. Then, I realized that it might have been against the rules to talk to you before the show was over. What I meant to explain is that I taught school in our hometown for 15 years and know tons of people who are in your age range. I found you by accident on KZbin months ago while studying pageantry for my daughter. After the first video, I just thought you were the cutest thing, so I watched another one. It was “Go with me to my best friend’s wedding.” I was shocked! You keep on keeping on, girl! The sky is the limit for you! I just wish Jillian and I could have gotten a picture with you!
