I love a good shine waza. I'm not too fussed about the gi across the face. But I don't like neck cranks. The clip you called out uke was effectively in a can opener crank position. I think the refs should call matte then. What do you think @judohighlights2015 ? Personally I've just seen too many grapplers and MMA veterans with vertebrae fusions and slipped discs. Judo newaza rules are great for longevity. For example no armless guillotine chokes. Don't get me wrong, the guillotine is a super move for MMA etc, but often at a cost.

Well it's a bit weird to allow the can opener but not a gi across the face. Judo newaza might be for longevity, but what about tachi waza? My body is destroyed, and all of my friends are screwed too lol
