He’s a former Olympic coach he has forgotten more than you know and it’s not a penalty if you attack of the grip break

if you use both hands to break the grip I think it s a penalty in judo international federation (rules of 2017, if I remember right)

IJF после 48 лет занятий дзюдо.. Спросите господина Сергея Соловейчика (если вы знаете, кто он, тем не менее, я вам скажу, это Европейский союз дзюдо 2007-2022 гг.), и он расскажет об этом сенсею.

You'll get a shido for that. Souldn't you know the rules of judo a little better?

@@camodigital2 True but the two hand break is illegal in the newer rule set. There are many great judo senseis that may not be completely up to date on the ever changing rules. If they are not training competition fighters but just general hobbyists it isn't a big deal. This is a good skill to learn either way. That being said I remember going to some promotional clinic (our Yudanshikai had a meeting after) and I met Nabil sensei there and was happy talking with him and picking his brain. I think he had just moved to MI (or where ever he was staying nearby).

@@cucciafr68 Some of us train according to True Judo rules, as set out by Jigoro Kano, and not some made to fit better on Television.

@@mogensrye698 You can train whatever you want, it just depends on if you compete and what those rule sets are. There are techniques we still have for tests that are technically illegal in comp nowadays but they still want you to know them. Heck, kata is even worse for that.

@@cucciafr68 yes, but there is a different judo organisation I believe. People breaking away from Kodokan to train and compete without the New rules
