There are some judoka from back in the day that I look at and think, "they wouldn't do too well against the competition today". But, Choi was way ahead of his generation.

Him sobbing after winning gold in 2008 will always be the memory of that Olympics for me. He was on fire that tournament. If I remember correctly, he threw everyone for ippon on way to the gold.

66kg 도전했었는데 국대선발전 1등했음에도 종합성적 때문에 탈락했었죠 진짜 유도 레전드 중 하나
It was an exhibition match on some Korean TV show, if I'm not mistaken his opponent is 2012 Olympic games bronze medalist Cho Jun-ho.

@@GrapplerKingdom He is twin brother of Cho Jun-ho, to be exact. Even many korean can't tell them apart well :). His name is Cho Jun-hyun and his judo technic is almost same as his brother.

It was korean judo era back in mid 2010 and also the best era of judo where there were more styles and grabs. These days judo restrict so many grabs which it became so boring
