Hi, very useful presentation! I would like to clarify the term mobile banking. I have worked in a Bank in Europe for 9 years, 3 of them in payments operations. What we call mobile banking is when our clients download the Bank App in their phones to perform following activities (as main examples): check their account statement, receive a token (TAN) to approve a transaction, start a money transfer (payment).

I just discovered these videos and they are a fantastic resource. I'm watching this is 2022, in the world of apple pay, samsung pass, etc. Its interesting to note that NFC haven't died off and instead just needed the right external motivation, in order to develop. i.e. the pandemic.

Nice video. Do you have an updated content (2022). Thanks

One simple straightforward comment: your presentations are brilliant. I am neither a newbie nor an expert in mobile payments, and you really help understand the mechanisms. Wish you a ahappy and prosperous New Year with plenty of new videos. I am confident you are already thinking about one dealing with offline mPOS transaction and I'll be the first to watch ;). Nice presentation......is Apple pay an inflection point in nfc payment segment?

how do you categorize the money transfer firms? Typically they gain the information of sender and receiver and initiate the transaction. The sender can use the money in credit card or bank account to send the money. Let's take example of Western Union. Would you see Western Union as a customer (performing the action of a customer)??

Mobile tap including NFC contactless or HCE can enable cardholders to have a better payment experience but at the moment it is no more than an alternative to card! More value propositions needed to make it prevalence.

With mobile banking in "the developing world" you can directly engage in mobile commerce. Substitute NFC for Text(sms) and you get the picture. You can pay for fuel tollgates and groceries

Hmm, I feel like this is just his opinion. I use #samsungpay and I've never banged my phone on a terminal. I've seen other people use #applepay and no one hits their phone on a terminal either. And technically, it is "contactless". One "hovers" their device over where it needs to be read. No touchy!

true, because you don't need to touch the pos as long as it's within 4 inches.

I think this presentation is outdated. Infact its the contrary the m-commerce using mpos has almost died out in comparison to contactless. (card or any consumer device that uses NFC)
@ruthafritap7 жыл бұрын
You don't need to hit you phone against a terminal to use NFC... -___-
@dtvfan247 жыл бұрын
Ruth Afrita exactly. NFC means both the phone and terminal has antennas and a 4cm distance is needed to ensure nfc works . Don’t tap just hold a bit above the terminal

Was it the only part to get ur attention in the whole video ?! if you dont tap how do u use NFC! tap, hit ... what ever you call it!
