So has Miro finally loosened up on allowing other companies to use aerodynamic torque compensation (which he holds a patent for, apparently)? I remember some shenanigans with Nirvana a while back.

Love the humor of the first half 😄 Fun to see some old school informative in-air commentary, too. A nice little supplement to the high art epics 👍👍

awesome video. I am starting my training tomorrow, the school uses MacFly gear and it looks awesome. And I live 200 km (120 miles for the rest of the world) from MacFly shop, so I guess I am on the good track ! Thanks for the great content !!

What sold me on this paramotor wasn't its features. It was Judson's epic, flowing mane.

I put it together and break it down every time I fly my MacFly, it take less than 5 min , just enough time to get mentally prepared and switcj to flying mode 😊

Judson, been watching you from your beginning at Aviator. You are an excellent pilot and we love watching you grow. We are here in Northern Az and our altitude is 5700’. I fly a F200 Nirvana and just recently went to a two blade prop from 3 blades, a lot more rpm’s about 7800 instead of 6800. What are your views on the F-lights? Would really like your input. We have had zero trouble with our machines and have owned them since 2019.

I love my MacFly. If you don't like the mechanical torque compensation as you have it, the beauty of the MacFly is that it is infinitely adjustable - you can slide one side's hook-in point forward or backward to adjust the mechanical torque comp until you get it just how you like it (forward is more weight shift on that side, toward the rear is less weight shift). The manual kind of hints at this but doesn't go into much detail.

@@JudsonGraham I hope my comment didn't seem out of the blue - I should have referenced why I made the comment. It's the one line in the review where you mentioned that off throttle it pulled to the left. I was trying to say you might be able to dial that out with the sliding collars (perhaps you made the connection, but just wanted to be clear). Anyway, MacFly makes a great product - I enjoyed the review.
@stephenkeen6044
@stephenkeen6044 Жыл бұрын
But doesn't that also change the tilt angle in flight? Since the bars have built-in side angle offset, there will always be some turning to the left off-throttle, won't there?

Is there a way you could get audio feedback, so you can hear yourself through your headset speakers? Not sure if there is such a techology for gopro vlog setups, however it would be a good investment to avoid wasting time from audio challenges.

I haven't tried pulling my shoulder in during a weight shift turn. I'll have to try that. However, I feel like on a steep-ish turn, with the wingtip on the horizon, my Kougar 3 tends to dive at the ground. I counter it with outside brake to remain level but then I wouldn't be able to pull my shoulder inboard. Maybe it only dives because if the inside brake force but I believe you've flown a K3 and I was wondering if you could comment vs that Freeride 2 or a Viper XC.

Question for you & this awesome community: I decided I need to enter the paramotor game, what is a good starter engine/prop/wing setup for someone like me at 6ft2 and 200lb? I assume I want to purchase the most lite-weight seat with the strongest propulsion engine... Is there anything else I need to consider? Where do I find a quality wing for a beginner?

I’d honestly strongly recommend getting instruction first, and gear second. a good school will have gear for you to use during your class, multiple units to try, and be able to pair you with the best setup for your height, weight, and personal preferences. Come train with us at Backcountry PPG in Utah, call Trevor anytime even if you just want to ask some questions +1 (801) 599-1684 :)

Great review! How are you running a 140 prop? I have the same unit and destroyed my carbon spars on a nil wind launch. Contacted them and they said only use a 125. Mine is 2 years old. Are they making larger hoops? Thanks
@TrevorSteele1
@TrevorSteele1 Жыл бұрын
Yes they make 3 different cage sizes. 128cm, 138cm, and 150cm. We ordered a 150cm to run a 140cm prop!

I thought that it was common knowledge that people that need their socks to match have obsessive control issues. People who have socks of not only different colours but also different lengths are the maverick free birds who always fly higher..

Hoop and netting system on this paramotor makes it a Hard Pass for me. No reason for any paramotor to be manufactured without a fixed quadrant hoop system with fixed netting. This system is less than ideal for anyone that wants to be able to take the paramotor apart quickly and easily. No thanks. Nice vid though. Support you guys fully and wish you the best on your new endeavor together.

This frame can come with a folding cage which is individual cage sections. The folding cage is way quicker for assembling and disassembling. The frame is the same for both so you can interchange easily.

Putting down other people (especially young ones) trying to make their way in the paramotor community in an attempt to put your school and (outdated) gear ahead with baseless claims about reliability shows a lot about the integrity of an individual and their company. It’s a shame to see “fresh breeze trike with power atlas never flown” on the Facebook group for sale twice a month. Good luck with endeavors.
