I’ve always loved Judy Collins! I’m 63 now and she is 80! Still going strong. She has a hauntingly beautiful voice. She’s a classy lady. I’m grateful for growing up in the 60s and 70s.

In 1978-79, I took an art history course at my high school. My teacher showed us a wonderful slideshow of surrealist and impressionist art, and he played Judy Collins' version of this song in the background. That was over 40 years ago, and I have never forgotten it.

I heard Judy Collins and this song both for the first time in 1978 newly arrived to this country from distant shores. It moved me to tears. There is an honesty in her voice, that connects with your emotions. I liked the simplicity of her style, no artifice, and deep feeling. Her voice rings clear as a bell. The words resonated deeply with the difficulties I had adjusting to a new life. Hearing her again today, it is still the best recording of this song.

To say that this performance was amazing is truly an understatement. I've got chills running up and down my spine listening to this. It really is so rare that a vocalist like Ms Judy is born and discovered and has the power to stop a person in their tracks and cause them to weep at something so beautiful as this. I'm trying hard to find the words. I've written and deleted this post a hundred times already. Being able to listen to this lady's voice from 47 years ago and the power she put behind each note is a gift that I feel blessed to have been given from the Unverse. This performance is what hearing is all about. I know that just made me sound like a dork, cheeseball. When I hear Ms Judy sing, I see colors and flashes of soft light and sound that I am unable to describe. I think there are people who don't really know who they are as a human being until they take a breath and sing. And even then they still can not see the power and beauty the Universe has granted them. I can only imagine how this soul will sound one hundred incarnations from now.✨🌒🌕🌘✨

Just discovered the wonderful JUDY COLLINS yesterday whilst typing in Laurel Canyon to find out where it was. Somehow that led me to finding a playlist with her version of Suzanne on it and I have been listening on repeat to all of her stuff since. I think people are capable of making great music again and I do believe that it will happen. Whatever happens I am a huge fan and going to make it my life goal to go to folk festivals when this is all over to hopefully here JUDY COLLINS live at some point and meet all the cool people that still love good music!!!
