Two of the worlds greatest artists of the 1960's. This shows their talents and wonderful ability to play off each other to perfection. I believe Judy was fearful of not being able to do this set, but Bobby being the person he is said to her very quietly, "You can do this". What a pay off it is and how. Pure magic together. Love them both and miss their exceptional talents today because this is music and entertainment at it's best. Most of what they call music today is total garbage. RIP.

I couldn't agree with you more.. music now is torturous vocal exercises.. NeverEnding outros.. completely inarticulate or meaningless storyline...and performers who need to get lyrics off of screen ..rather than from inside their brains...

This was filmed just days after the assassination of President Kennedy. Judy did not want to go on or do the show. Bobby was a tremendous source of comfort and support and got her to do the show. Judy and JFK were very close friends, she had been to the White House many times. These two were two of the great singers of all time, terribly missed.

There was one publicized event Nov. 28, 1962 when JFK invited Judy, Danny Kaye, and some other special guests to the White House. If she was invited again, or alone, that's something that can't be verified.

yeah, Judy is probably my favorite female singer, and what she had to endure through her career, is heartbreaking, I'm always amazed how people can say much things about her, and forget that she started so young and had her family to support, and Bobby, was incredible.....miss them both.

If Judy was "off" it was because this was taped the time JKF was shot and killed. She didn't want to the show because she was terribly upset about the assassination. Bobby insisted they do the show. But I don't see that Bobby "carried" her at all. she rose to the moment and in show biz tradtion Judy let the Show go on!
