As usual, great standard production. This lady has the. "it" factor by the truck loads.

I need the opinions of other avid Judy fans. I was very underwhelmed with last year's movie Judy. Does anyone else feel this way? Thank you!!!

My thing is that I love Judy that I will watch and receive any portrail of Judy just to see her in front of us but I will only digest only the real facts about her. And others can call her horrible but I don't blame her for any of the wrongs she was treated wrong not just by Hollywood but even before that I know many women were treated bad but Judy was before all of that. She is a natural entertainment born to be Judy (Francis Gumm) garland. The movie showed how she was taken advantage by all Mickey gave her what she thought she could get but didn't truly receive the need. Not sure if I helped I'm not always sure how to write what I'm trying to say. But I get more KZbinr response in my Judy club than any other subject. Keep enjoying Judy😁

Agree. A tv movie lifted by Renee's appearance and a lot of PR. They should have used Judy's vocals too.

I avoided that movie for months simply because we all know what happened. After seeing a number of interviews in which Renee Zellweger talks beautifully about Judy and her legacy I was tempted to watch it, but first I had to distance myself from my love and admiration for Judy so I could try to be objective about it. I think Renee was much better than the movie itself and I believe all the awards she collected this year were well deserved. I thought it was interesting how they tried to make connections between what she was going through at the end of her life and all the abuse she suffered when she was a young girl at MGM. I wish they had used Judy’s voice, but I kind of understand why they didn’t (apart from legal reasons). Yes, Renee Zellweger doesn’t come close to Judy, but who does? I like to think this movie introduced Judy to a new audience of young people.

Thank you all for your replies!! I just get myself in an outrage when I hear or see anything that shows Our Judy in a negative light. I truly am one of those crazy Garland fans!! And proud of it !!!!!

@@russellcandy9850 thank you for being there for Judy I see her as the person she is and not the person she was. I once had some one on YT say that me and others love her for her music and not as a person. I beg to differ because I do have difficult people in my life. Her children know the truth about there mom and they back her up too.

Russell Candy I agree with you. I did not like the movie. I thought Renee Z. did a decent job portraying Judy, but didn’t agree with her using her own voice for the singing. For those who know Judy’s voice, it was a shock every time Renee Z. opened her mouth to sing. And I don’t know what I was thinking, going to a movie about Judy Garland’s last few months of life, when she was actively dying. I can’t even bear to look at pictures of her during those last few months. And what is the purpose of making a movie about a true legend that is only about that period of her life? I’m sorry I went to see it.

I was lucky enough to see Judy in person 2 times in my life. The Judy at the Mike Douglas Show was so very different from the Judy at JFK Stadium. On the MD show we waited almost an hour for Judy to appear on stage. I was nervous for her that day. She was great once she started singing!! The JFK concert was absolutely POW!!! Judy was magnificent!!! Never thinking Judy would be gone less than a year later. Sorry for the long text!! When it comes to Judy I just can't stop!!

You never need to apologize for writing too long about Judy. I can never get enough! I envy you seeing her in person twice!! She was simply amazing! Cheers!

Check out Louis Armstrongs 1933 version of this. Infinitely soo much better. Makes this hard to watch like shes having a tough night. Soo much over the top vibrato. Like the whooooole time.

Have you listened to the words? A tough night is what she's supposed to have had. Armstrong's version is terrific - but knock Garland at your peril!

Wholeheartedly disagree! Love the way she dispenses both fragility and power all at once! The thick vibrato was also just a hallmark of Garland’s.. particularly in the later years. ❤️

Noboby will ever sing any song better than Judy not even this song. Yes, I would like Louis Armstong singing this but Miss Garland outshines him with that amazing voice she has
