She had such a natural wit. She was quite the comedian. Such a funny lady at heart despite her troubles.

Wonderful Terry had the perfect balance of class, silliness and disregard for anything negative. Never taking himself or the world too seriously. He was serene - warm - friendly - wish i'd have known him.

Indeed. It’s no wonder they canceled her show. How tedious for dear old Terry. She didn’t even give him a chance to be witty.

Oh that was wonderful, a real conversation, it really showed how funny and real Judy was. Terry was everything a man of his class should and usually was, both charming and defensive. What a great idea to have this little slice of reality in a TV show, I don't think either of them were even acting, how insightful. They were of course both truly classy and hugely talented.

Yes he was great. I remember him from American TV guest roles when I was a kid. So very British and able to poke fun at “so very British” things. Search YT for him and “No Tonic.” Hilarious!!

Amazing!!! She tells this story during the Carnegie Hall iconic performance! But, changing a bit about the main subject...what about this gorgeous wardrobe she wore during The Judy Garland Show!!! Wow, she was so beautiful! This one in special, sparkling black clothes with the scarf in the middle ...oh, my! So elegant, what a lady!

Such a multi-talented woman with her music and comedy. Wouldn't it have been great if she would've done a stand-up routine? She really had so many crazy stories to tell and it would've been great and probably therapeutic for her to make humor out of so many of them in a comedy club.

It is "all about Judy", isn't it? Great clip. I've always thought she was extremely charming in this interview, and the song after is simply amazing. Thanks for posting all the Judy stuff so more people can enjoy her talent and heart.

I enjoy watching the Judy clips on youtube and I just got a rude reply because I wrote that I was tired of people bashing Judy because of her problems and that It is crude to attack a person who isn't around to defend themselves. It's amazing reading stuff like that and if they feel that way then why even bother watching clips of Judy Garland on youtube. Sure she had problems but none of us lived the life she did. I am a realist to know she was a person & not perfect & that none of us are.

Judy looked really good during this period of her life. from 1967 - 69. Judy's look was too thin & gaunt. During 1963,Judy looked amazing. At 4'11'' Judy had a shorter torso and long legs so when she gained weight she looked heavier than most ppl on screen, but she always had great legs. The "Get Happy" number show's how hot Judy really was. Judy had a face that you just couldn't help but love looking at. Her eyes were soulful esp during this episode when she sang the man that got away..

@NFitalianGuy That's exactly how I feel! It's not Judy's fault she became addicted to drugs; the studio ordered her to take them which lead to addiction! People just don't know the whole truth or only believe what they want to believe.

so she embelished her stories dont we all? god knows when i retell stories i paint myself in a better light and say all the things i wish id said and come out the victor, to me the embelishments are a sign of a good story teller, now if she had outright lied thats different :)

Judy's a little difficult to hear in this clip. Either her voice simply didn't project, the mic wasn't placed properly, or something, but I had to strain. Mr. Thomas was fully audible, a true delight to see & hear. He's seen to good advantage in this clip, quite handsome, dapper, & elegant. I think American audiences always responded favorably to him. In terms of cinema history, I think Mr. Thomas is rather hard to categorize. This no doubt stems from his uniqueness, his singular personality as an actor, there's nothing of the generic about him. Perhaps he's easier to categorize in terms of British cinema, his true home. He played a certain type of stylish con-man peculiar to that society of the top hat, cane, long cigarette holder in hand, champagne glass clinking, & evening shoulder-cape wearing rogue or scoundrel, a less-than-honorable ladies' man, always on the make, out for the fast-buck, a smooth seducer of other mens' wives, an unfaithful philanderer in his own, etc. I'm speaking, of course, of the typical cinematic character in which he most often appeared. I suppose one could say he was a poor man's Cary Grant, though on a far lower moral plane. A skilled movie comedian, Thomas' silky accent, distinctive pronunciation, & uniquely memorable countenance, all contributed to an appealing persona. He just really can't be categorized!
