Beef liver cooked in oil paired with chopped, saute’d onions, mashed potatoes and cream corn is one of the favorite meals my mother would make for us kids. I have yet to try making it for myself, but it is on my list of culinary “to-do’s.”

Next time you do catfishing, get yourself some hog shoulder. Cut into chunks and throw in your pond or river on bottom. This bait works extremely well for us here in MS. Allow to harden up slightly after cutting and catch multiple fish on one piece.

Chicken hearts, liver and gut are all good baits I've used and are sold in a lot of places. Take some liver and cook it in a skillet with some butter and sliced onions. Add a touch of gravy.
