That map is incredible! But it seems not a single player in this lobby caught the message the map designer was pointing them toward with neon lights... The most baffling part of this game was that it took Winter 40 minutes to kill the enemy buildings that were right underneath his arty hilltop =0

the camera shuddering with rubber banding, is there a way to stop this or is it just a feature of the game?

The game doesn't like being recorded. And every time I fix it something else breaks and it happens again. So for now it's just a bug of the game not liking recording softwares

I know this is an older video, I'm just trying to catch up on the weeks I've missed while in the hospital. I am not a fan of the action cam or cinematic cam. They both take away from the experience of the game. Especially doing then right in the middle of a battle. Sure it gives a nice shot or two but we lose so much information on what's going on.

Seems a bit like half the players were afk for most of the game. There was no reaction to multiple pushes and often almost no movement from their units

That happens when noobs play a game. It's not being AFK, it is just the inability to process the events and respond accordingly.

While I appreciate the need to try maintaining a more "bird's-eye view" of the action, I personally find the video far less interesting or exciting very little time is spent zoomed in to the individual fights. Saying something is happening but then showing only little dots or icons moving around is just not very engaging to me. I recommend that you strive to keep things generally in the close- to mid-range view, perhaps similar to a Starcraft (2)-style distance. And then zoom out only when you want to look for another interesting event to zoom into.

Agreed. Zoomed out is best for strategic view but zoomed in is much better for entertainment. The cinematic perspectives, resting behind units engaged in combat, overlooking a wide swath of the map, are incredible.

BTW, there's also no need to use only the slow-panning "cinematic view" for *every* single close-up. Professional casters will typically follow the action manually to center and highlight exactly what they wish the viewer to see.

everything in this game is done manually. I'm having to cast using mouse, keyboard, and a playstation controller. only have so many hands. Also the comments on these BAR casts are kind of impossible. Some people are hating me zooming in too much and using the cinematic camera too much in the other BAR casts I decided to make the casting much more complicated by swapping back and forth between the two styles of camera. It's already a bit more difficult to cast this game since I'm still learning it but I'll try and do something actionable with this constructive criticism. I know I can't please everyone.

@@WillowsDuality I probably shouldn't have used the term "manually" which implies some kind of automation on the opposite end. I meant more that instead of slow, cinematic sweeps of the action all the time, instead every so often immediately zoom in and laser-focus on some specific actions or events that you want the user to really pay attention to. You do this a few times in this video, which is great. But most of the time is spent describing a specific event while showing most or all of the battlefield and pointing at the dots you are describing with your mouse cursor, instead of focusing upon that event. BTW, I don't mean to change the entire cast to something like this. Having a good balance of both seems like it would also work quite well. But just think about how many other casters do it, including with other games like SC2. Nobody shows a view of the mini-map for long periods, even if multiple events are occurring in separate areas. This is sometimes okay in BAR because its zoomed-out view shows much more information, but it is still only about as engaging as watching a mini-map. In the end, though, this is all just my own opinion. And if more of your viewers prefer the full battlefield view, then certainly use it more.
