This is awesome advice and perfectly timed for me. I always have multiple projects too

Yeah, I’ve been doing multiple projects for a long time and it’s just something that works for me so made sense to share what I’ve learned!

I associate one project specifically with drafting at home, while another I plan when waiting at/during appointments. With repeat scheduled appointments it's given me a co-incidental timetable to work around. I have a third project in revisions that I only touch when the mood strikes, so mainly just 2 projects right now. I say 'just' looking back at when I could only manage 1 to start with.

It’s a good idea to have them associated with different things, and having them in different stages really helps keep things straight in your head!

Good tips! I’m a one project at a time girl at the moment.

As always, this is some of the best advice on how to do / not to do things according to our specific needs. Adding to the last tip: it’s ok to have detours! The amounts of world building I’m doing this month are more than average for me. I used to say “I’m not that great at world building because it’s mostly visual.” Well, I’m finding ways to research and have a little bit more of accessibility. So the world building is happening. It wasn’t what I planned for the month, but I didn’t fail. It was a tangent that will serve the books. ❤️‍🩹

Exactly, detours happen and sometimes they are very much necessary to move forward in what we’re doing! And we have to do all of this in a way that works for us, even if that’s completely different o how everyone else does things. We know how we work best so it’s just about finding ways that help us, not push us into burnout or the like!

I feel attacked! 😆 I'm in the middle of scripting a video series about all my writing projects (as one video it was waaay too long). I skipped hard mode and went straight to Instant Death mode. lol Love these tips though. I needed this video years ago when I first started trying to write and publish. Maybe I wouldn't be juggling so many projects at one time. My favorite tip was having projects in various states of the process (one in drafting, one in editing, etc).

You are doing it on super hard mode with all your projects!! And yeah I’ve found that it’s easier to focus on different projects if they’re in different stages rather than all the same, but everyone is different!

@@JoeyPaulOnline 5-video series coming soon about how all of that works (or doesn't 😆) for me soon! I'm almost finished scripting it. On 4 of 5 and hoping to finish before Monday so I can start filming since I have the day off. But yes... Definitely in super hard mode, even with easing up quite a bit in the past couple of weeks.
