How profoundly succinct. I completely agree with you. It's maybe somewhat of a cliché to say "I feel like I'm there", but if I come it from a slightly different angle: It feels like they are experiencing what I would experience if I went there and did the same things. The sheer joy of being where you are, meeting the legends you saw in magazines and on VHS tapes. Taking in all there is to see. Having your breath taken away by amazing cars on every other street corner! I like to think I have the same appreciation for these things that Neil and the lads do, and I'm ever so thankful they're letting us live vicariously

Kei miura is a straight up legend! I met him at a carshow in Edmonton (Canada) of all places (I was visiting a friend from Holland) , we got lost in translation so he thought I traveled from Holland to see him. Pretty funny, still have his signed picture on my desk. Japanese people are such geniune, polite people. The fact that most of these shop owners/workers showed their stuff is a testimony to that! But then again, I think wherever you are in this world; people you come across sharing the same passion will always show and share their stuff. A proper episode once again, thank you!

My favourite touge battle from hot version is the J's racing S2000 vs the Feed FD3S, i cant believe you got to see them both in the same day, also love the part where the Feed FD3S just goes to the shop like its just a normal car.

Ahh Signal! They came to Toronto with (RIP) Kuroi and Chunky Bai in 2003! Then in 2004 or 2005 to Mosport and drifted the oval with "The 1000hp Skyline!" Yep, that purple one, and Team Orange. Got my t-shirt signed by Kumakubo and drooled over the S13 pickup... Great times, I feel like the pock marked baby face teenager I was again.

I would not be suprised if y'all might have given Signal Auto the boost it needs to get back into the scene. Japanese have an appreciation for encounters like that that's just as big, if not bigger than yours. I hope it goes somewhere. In fact, I hope all the people featured in this series get to see the reach they have. That goes for Tra-Kyoto, and CFAI as well. Jeez I'm fanboying so hard on this episode, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna apologise for that. Sometimes the opinion for certain people in the carscene is largely based on nothing but assumptions, and it feels so good to just give that a good legsweep by visiting these folks in their working environment. Omg that whole shot from 18:55 onwards. Every frame of that would be a nice background picture. Holy shit. So many clean looking Levin's and Trueno's. Wow. Okay, even though you mentioned earlier about visiting as many tuning shops as possible, it's only now starting to sink in for me that you went there in one day. My brain would have been fully liquified by the end of it. Phoenix's Power, Trial, Auto Select (omg that R34 with the Pennzoil vibe wow), Fujita Eng; That's FD Heaven! And don't even think about apologising for fanboy'ing there. You got the shots in. Beautiful shots. My jaw is consistently on the floor rn.. Oh god there's 6 more episodes coming! Y'all are recalibrating my sense for what is and what is not eye,- and ear-candy. Duuuuudes, wow. You are doing such a terrific job documenting this trip. The stories, the shots, the music, the people..
