The game is Good, everything from combat to customisation to building to graphics are much better than in any fallout games, even if fallout games has been out years and moded. Anyways, Its normal that huge rpgs are upgraded and updated over longer period of time. Its a different to do 10 to 20 hour long movie game than open world rpg which gives u hundreds hours of play time in several environments and settings.

Intrinsically the game probably really isn't for ones complaining about the poi's. There's so much to unpack from the viral complaint. For one there's a ton of variety supplied via many of the systems. If the same people suddenly got their wish, it's a safe bet to say, they likely won't have any more fun because of the systems and gameplay. Also there are streamers well over a thousand hours and still finding new variations and new buildings. It was part of the nature of the game. The only thing truly a mile wide and an inch deep is the shallow complaints about the game from people that don't even know what they want nor what they're looking at.

Really they should have used another engine, the creation engine while not the best works great for the other games(system wise), for a game with so many different zones they had to break them all up, and since you can travel via foot and ship it just adds to the number of zones.

They have been making decent changes. Now can we as a community make a push to: - Add Trident luxury ship habs along with more exterior ship customization? - Add more things to build in outpost mode? We should be able to build a house on habitable planets and we should have more furniture to decorate with. I want Fallout 4's settlement building freedom in Starfield's Outpost build mode. - Add more side quests (I think this one is already confirmed) - Revamp the proc gen on planets and add more POIs and add static towns and villages that everyone would have spawn in the same locations (Like they did with the three main cities). - More QOLs

Bethesda lost time, cutting down the vision to fit it on a Series S.., now they're on catch up.. ... Starfield can be saved, this was the 1st real step in the right direction.., more are needed, after Shattered Space, Bethesda will still need 1-2 years (with another 2 big DLCs, to make up for the missing exploration in the base game.., besides ofc more depth towards F4 depth & beyond..,on the long run, it could be worthwhile, as long as the 3 big DLCs are high quality and not rushed)

Absolutely loving it so far! I have a mid-high range PC that for a bit I used to play Starfield but I’m not a monitor style gamer. I like laying in bed, popping on my console, and sitting back with my TV. The uncapped and 60fps modes with VRR coupled with the new maps are perfection. I’ve been playing it again nonstop since getting home from work :) such a fun game.

I just started Starfield a couple days ago. Im a ps5 guy but recently bought an Xbox because I wanted to get back into the old Fallout games so I got Starfeld as well with game pass. Idk if its just me but this game just doesnt feel NEARLY as good as Fallout or Elder Scrolls. Maybe its because I just started but normally with Bethesda games I get excited to explore, and im instantly hooked. This whole Constellation hook with Sarah just seems boring. This game (to me) kinda feels like Outer Worlds done worse. Idk thats just my initial opinion. Hopefully it changes.

It gets better once you get into the faction quests. Also just focus on a few quests at a time I’d recommend. It can get very overwhelming spending like two hours just excepting quests in a new city for instance.

Unfortunately, the best part of previous Bethesda games just don't work the same in Starfield. Fallout and Skyrim see that ridge over there? Well walk over there and get lost or distracted on the way. Starfield see that planet well go to your map, fast travel, and a couple loading screens later you'll get there. It all feels so tedious just to travel from one point to another . I gave the game 50 hours and definitely saw some improvements to graphics, gunplay, and characters but the best part of Bethesda games just wasn't there for me. Maybe I'll give another go when more DLC and mods come out for it.

Using the same building, npcs and corpse are all fine, but when I read a note "Sorry friend I tried to disable the door but it failed, signed Bob" 5 times that's the issue. And the bigger one is I saw this after only 1 hour of playing, after the tutorial stuff, so there is no way they did not encounter this.

And I said this before its not the building layouts that get me, cause in reality corporations build those things the same so that's fine, but the same notes. I bet you found the cryo lab that has dead scientist, one in the vent, and then there's the collapsed mine with the same dead miner in it. I need to make one of those videos where I have a counter for duplicates, ugh but that would mean I need to paly it again.

They’re defo going in the right direction and a lot of this is more than “tweaks”. The maps do show a weakness in how much space isn’t utilised and how far things are. But. That’s what land vehicles will be for and I feel there will be more POI added with the vehicles and random encounters.

The problem with Starfield is on a fundamental level. The game just lacks grit. In CyberPunk 2077 there are so many peaks and valleys. In Starfield it feels so bland. Like the Night Clubs don't feel dirty or grimey. The game lacks sexuality and temptation. Starfield could have been more.

I take back my comment on the last Starfield upload. After seeing how extreme it can be i decided to download it and max out every slider to make the game harder. Now i have to plan ahead before to make sure im able to survive. Loving the survival aspect and completely changes how i would normally play this game. Yes it feels like a dead game, but now i aint worried about if its dead or not since every action i do means likely death. I love thus and im freakin happy Bethy put this in. I will be playing this

Thumbs up 👍 if anyone started a NEW GAME like I did. And no.. I don't mean the weird NG+ mechanic where you just switch to another universe and start over. I mean you started over COMPLETELY. I only beat this game once. The first playthrough. And I missed a LOT of stuff. Now that everything is better, both visually and performance wise and I can customize things more how I like, I figure I'll just start all over.

People need to stop praising game studios for low effort releases. I've seen game journos and bethesda boot lickers talking about the game being 'saved' by these minor updates(which are honestly just things that the game should have shipped with) and all but throating BGS for it. Its gonna take the game not being a boring slog for me to come back. Ive already done the content worth doing, and it really wasnt enough.

Modders cant fix everything people want fixed. Some of the biggest gripes with the game requires the game to be remade in a new engine in order for them to be fixed or to how players want. The Creation engine is one of the worst engines to use to make a game that Bethesda wanted starfield to be.

In a game that now advertises configurability, it's stupid how you get an XP debuff. Gathering XP is hard enough as it is, much like trying to make money off of the tons of weapons and equipment you've just scrounged.

People have been talking about vehicles since day one. They’re not going to make the game much better. An enjoyable drive to boring points of interest won’t keep players around for long. I can already feel it. Get the new update, drive for 30 minutes and quit again.

I cannot believe it took Bethesda around 7 months to add some QoL improvements to Starfield that modders would have added in far less time! By now, a DLC should have been ready to drop! I honestly still cannot see a good reason to return to this game because the story is bad, choices don't matter, companions are one-dimensional, and exploration is almost non-existent.

Are you insinuating that modders won't do a better job than Bethesda when in fact the second most popular mod on Nexus is StarUI Inventory, which was added after less than a week from the Games' release, and is way better that what Starfield devs came up with in 7 years!? Skyrim and Fallout had maps already included at launch, unlike Starfield, and by the way, Skyrim also has a better map mod called "A Quality World map" which is ranked 12th in the list of top mods for Skyrim SE! And as for better difficulty, there were some mods that adjusted difficulty multipliers and experience gains for Skyrim, but maybe not as extensive as this way, but I could be wrong because I stopped following Skyrim mods in over seven years! Anyway, as I mentioned, these are all QoL improvements that might improve your experience if you like the game, but won't matter if the game is mediocre at best, which it is for me!

@@nmmoussa No, Fallout and Skyrim have a "global map", the local map is the same since oblivion and its bad since then. This Starfield update mostly fixes this "local map", they created special new way to render. Nobody changed that in those game, the only mod related to that is just increasing the resolution. And "A Quality World map" changes almost nothing in the global, just the z fighting with roads and lakes

The "global map" you are referring to in Fallout and Skyrim are exactly the equivalent of Starfield's city maps that just had an update, because you cannot compare interior dungeons and places in these two games to an entire city in Starfield and call it "local map". Starfield has three maps, one is for the galaxy, one is for cities and random zones on planets you land on, and one for interior zones like The Well, so the "global map" you mentioned is basically the entire map of Skyrim or Fallout or something like New Atlantis in Starfield since there are no equivalent to the galaxy map in Skyrim and Fallout. Any area you land on on any planet is a location that roughly the size of Fallout or Skyrim map, so that makes its map a "global map", but if you enter a dungeon in Starfield, then you have a "local map" just like the other two games dungeons and inner locations. As for Skyrim's mod "A Quality World Map", that was downloaded over 3 million times and you claim it does nothing, I think this is disrespectful to the mod author who basically made an overhaul to the entire map textures!

It's unfortunate that impactful changes have taken so long to implement, but I'm still glad to see them finally coming. Star Field really should have been a game that brought Bethesda to the modern day, but ended up being a disappointment for many as it ended up mostly showing off the limitations of their development process.

It is amusing to see squadron 42 coming out around the same time as shattered space. Star engine is lightyeats ahead of creation "2.0" They shouldve stuck to elder scrolls. Skyrim is an incredible game. Starfield is a game i want to love, but its just impossible to take it aeriously when you have games like star citizen out there

I don't understand why they didn't tweak the fast travel from the fancy new maps to actually place you inside the location you are going to instead of just outside to face yet another load screen. It wouldn't even be difficult for them to have given you an option when you select the map point you want to move to. Well let's hope the Creation Kit brings back the modders, and maybe someone can do this.

At this point, I feel like even mod support would only get me to play for a short while? - It's kinda like with Valheim; I played the heck out of it when if released on consoles with Mistlands, then I did practically everything I could wanting more, now fast-forward like 6 months the Ashlands update rolls out, and I'm kinda like _'eh, this would have been great if I got this sooner',_ y'know? - This might just be a 'me' problem though. I literally can’t play a Bethesda game without cranking up the damage for both the enemies and the player (not the stupid difficulty scaling that’s the default) and a hunger system. I’m literally going to give star field an actual try now. Every Bethesda game should have this on launch. Great update.
