piece of advice when working with carbon: where you cut or drilled the carbon, put some superglue on that surface edge to extend and prevent the carbon sheets from splitting, opening or simply swelling...and if you take the screws off often, a washer between the bonnet wholes and screws help prevent further damage

Great rebuild really enjoyed it. You have created a beauty out of a basket case. Can you come up with a foolproof way of stopping it getting nicked though? On my last one I had an isolator switch, factory alarm ( useless) locking foot pedal box and a removable steering wheel. It’s still got stolen off my driveway one night. The thieves had a dolly to slip under the front wheels and after snipping the alarm wire and gaining access pushed it round the corner and you can guess the rest. Is there some device you could come up with to lock the transfer box in 4 wheel drive or some thing to prevent this?
@juicemotors4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately in this day and age, there is no security to stop a determined thief. If someone’s desperate to steal something, they’ll bring all the tools necessary to take it from you, apart from 24 hour physical surveillance the only thing I can suggest is to park a truck in front of it blocking it into the property. This teamed with a camera system that’ll alert you of movement on your property is about as good as it gets.... transfer box locks don’t work as you can climb underneath to deactivate, I’ve also heard of crane lifts being used to steal motors. Buy a big cheap truck, and block it in. Thank you for watching 💛
