In today's video I buy another Defender BUT I want to modify this one differently....

Panoramic windows would ‘keep’ the van look. It’s what I did with mine (Arles blue with a white roof) and I am pleased with the result

Well done it looks great I personally wouldn’t fit side windows but would fit rear quarter windows. It looks really good as it is with solid sides but it’s your choice. Great work

Glad you mentioned the wheel nuts. Check out the ones that Wrington Engineering do. Not cheap, but good quality and finish off steel wheels very nicely

That looks great, i'm not a big fan of body coloured rear X members but the silver one here just ties in with the rest of the silver/galv bits really well, wheels look excellent. Looking forward to the interior.

Looks fantastic! Gonna be even better when it’s fully finished. I agree the green would be great too & different to see a car upgraded in green rather than black/silver or another run of the mill colour! Maybe next one?? Wish I could afford a basic one let alone one of your magnificent creations. I’ll stick to driving the works one. It’s modified too.🚒 blue light & sirens! Haha

Thanks guys for another great episode. The silver accents are ace, although I would have painted the gal front bumper to perfectly match the grill, in photos the galvanised finish isn’t as refined as the grill’s. Cheers

I love the inconsistency of galv, it’s way more interesting than a flat silver, it’s like the Landy version of carbon fibre

ELEGANT/CLASSY LANDY Of 90/110 Criteria,now there's a terminology that I would not advocate for such vehicle's. Your enthusiasm appreciated,though I'm just showing my age. My Old Girl was a 'Work Horse' Military 110 Camo 'Matt' Sprayed by myself occasionally. Applying once or twice a Sledge Hammer for acquired Dent's when Father dying. Shiny Landy's with the Spot Weld's just seem alien to an Old Got like myself. ENJOY All your Driving such as now CULT Vehicle's 👍

What's the music? Love it! Do the LED headlamps connect straight up the the old crystals? Looks great but not so sure about swapping the Boost alloys. What tyres did you fit? You didn't say.

Hate to say it…but the grille isn’t for me, just can’t take to it. Love everything else. Needs rear quarter windows…not sure about the sides, maybe the full side smoked ones? I’ve smoked ones in the back of my van and they really look great. Love the wheels and tyres as a heritage look.

You took off silver mud flap brackets, to put black brackets on a black crossmember, then changed the crossmember to silver, you should have put the silver brackets back on.

Personally I’d lose the spacers and go down to a 235/85 in keeping with more of the ‘classic’ look.

Why would you fit new rear mudflaps and brackets, then respray the rear crossmember?
